Cielo Stays @ 777 N Ocean Dr

"This is a great place to stay while vacationing at Hollywood Beach. We had a spacious studio room that met our needs, the main ones being a balcony (small but functional, with terrific views of south Hollywood Beach, the ocean and the intracoastal waterway) and a (mini) fridge in the unit. Kitchenette also has a sink, microwave and toaster - perfect for saving a few bucks on breakfast. Dishes and cutlery were included but we could have used a dish towel, however paper towels were supplied. Spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower. The shower faucet handle was a bit wonky as it was either on or off with no proper way to adjust the water temperature. Luckily it was at a good temperature, on the hotter side of warm. The shower head was one of those annoying "rain shower" heads that never have enough pressure. Why people like these things or think they're a luxury is beyond me. But, it got me clean. And the bathroom was actually equipped with an exhaust fan! - a rarity in hotels but so useful to keep the foggin' mirror clear. The safe wasn't working upon our arrival, which we reported to Cielo Stays. We never did get it working because we would have had to be in the room when the technician came in. We were on vacation, why spend it waiting for a repairman?!! So we carried our valuables with us, not a big deal. There was a stain on the top bed sheet that we also reported to Cielo Stays, and that was promptly switched out. Everything else was very clean and tidy. I have to give special acknowledgement to Cielo Stays, as their professionalism, super quick responses to all of our questions and concerns, and follow-up actions, gave me full confidence that they would resolve any other issues that may have come up. I never felt ignored or unsure of what was happening. I'm absolutely sure if we'd waited for the safe tech, or reported the shower faucet to Cielo Stays, these issues would have been fixed quickly. For us, they were just not that big a deal. A more frequent and thorough maintenance schedule could have avoided these issues in the first place, hence the 4-star review. Location is ideal, with the beach and great food at numerous restaurants a couple minutes' walk away, and a coffee shop across the street from the lobby. Rooftop pool and bar have outstanding views. We will absolutely stay here again, next time we're in Hollywood Beach."

"The blinds were broken, which let all the red neon lights. It was like living on the sun. The kitchen utensils and dishes were dirty. It lacked a lot of basic items. The fridge leaks. The oven is questionable. A light switch on the wall does nothing. There's only one or two usable outlets. *The glass shower door is a death trap. The two pieces are damaged and collide when closing them and will shatter one day.* The floors were dirty when we arrived. The balcony was very non-private. We heard all the drama from the neighbor's phone call in the morning even with the doors closed. The furniture was old and gross. The apartment was directly above the valet area where they park the trucks and oversize vehicles. The noise was excruciating at times. The cart process is a little crazy, having to take two separate elevators just to get to the room. The elevators were overly used. There was no easy way to take the stairs to the second floor. The rooftop was filled with teenagers when we went. With all the added fees and lack of amenities, a free drink up there would have been nice."

"Amazing place!! ** Do know that they charge a resort fee ($35 p/day) ** The place has everything you need! - fully equipped gym - pool (with bar, food & service) - Rooms with kitchen top and oven for those who are staying longer times like I did (big rooms only I think? Not studio? Double check this). -Walking distance to the beach (literally behind the beach) - crew constantly cleaning the common areas - pets are allowed (big plus)"

"The room was clean but they are very plane and boring in comparison to the rest of the hotel. The pool I Don't know. My mom got in and got an eye infection so eww. But the rooftop area it's amazing. The pool amazing. The bar area was great, Creighton was very sweet and helpful, he makes really good drinks. Everyone was sweet and helpful. they even had a party on our last night so it was a great goodbye."

"It was a private condo...great roof top activities. Pricey drinks and food...towel lady was awesome! Room was minimal but nice. I didn't feel safe or secure with balcony door not locking or main door handle about to fall off. Resort said we have to contact owners which is difficult."
