Sunset Properties

"We arrived at the end of December for a planned 2 month stay and other than a cool snap, weather wise, we enjoyed every moment of our stay at the TORTUGA BAY HOUSE. The home was exactly what we needed for 2 adults and our precious fur baby, Sir Sampson. The area, scenery, atmosphere, neighbors, restaurants and a wonderful church that we attended every Sunday- LAGOON BAPTIST CHURCH. Local grocery stores and pharmacies were exceptional. I even searched out a barber shop for a hair cut, STEVE’S BARBER SHOP was absolutely the tops. If it weren’t for a 14 hour drive I’d be back to see Steve each time I needed a hair cut. Now for the seafood- WOW- We love seafood and from the shrimp to grouper to mahi mahi and oysters- I was in heaven with out leaving this world. By the way those folks know how to ring in the NEW YEAR, their fireworks display was over the top impressive. For reasons back at home we had to leave from our planned stay about 2 1/2 weeks early and I know there was a lot that we missed out on as the weather was improving and the temperature was becoming more of what we were wanting, warmer. Thanks to everyone at SUNSET PROPERTIES for everything and being so easy to work with. Allow me to recommend a couple extremely impressive restaurants- JESSE’S ON THE BAY, THE ORIGINAL OYSTER HOUSE and WILD HOG for a change up from seafood. These were the ones that made the top of our list. The 2 pictures are from the Tortuga Bay, evening sunset and Henry the resident Gray Heron."

"The house was great! My Mom loved the balconies. The pool was nice, a little warm at times but 100 degree weather will do that. The beach was close and had powdery sand. Disappointed we didn't see a lot of sea shells, but then the sand wouldn't have been as nice. Best meal was going to Billy’s, buying Royal Reds and fixing Shrimp Scampi. Having a kitchen saved us a lot of money on meals. Highly recommend “Just Write” house"
