Reviews of Quality Inn
"I was very very pleased with our 2 night stay here. The room was EXTREMELY clean, close to the beach, and the person at the desk was very nice. I definitely will stay again. It felt like home. The pool was nice and warm but was very cold cause of the open areas but other than that. It was great. Best sleep I’ve had in a long time!"
"I apologize to anyone who is doing their best here. I didn't think the conditions were fair to them. The staff was reasonable. Treat them with care and they will reciprocate. Be neutral to them, they seemed to not be to sure how to react to that. Maybe seem uninterested or partially defensive (I imagine the Inn's condition led to a few too many a defensive situation.) The rooms and air-conditioning fogged up my windows and that was not aesthecially pleasing. I'm not sure how the rooms do not have dehumidifiers in the rooms. I tried to use the work station or the table with a chair. Unfortunately. It was unbalanced. I would guess humidity warped the wood. Sound proofing was terrible! I tried to understand that both I and my neighbors get to take advantage of everything we paid for. However that does not mean I want them to hear me or to personally hear them! I was sleepy enough that I fell asleep anyways. However my neighbor was either one of those people who needs a TV on to sleep. Or they were a party animal who needed to make the best use of some time away from home. I woke up at 3 am because i was tired enough to dose off early and sleep heavily. Once I was rested at 3, I was shocked to still hear the neighbor's TV unit. the highspeed internet did not work all the time. It seemed to act up around mornings. Both for the guests and for hotel staff. The brochure said streaming HD movies should be fine. With a DL speed of a little over 1mb but under 2. I'm not sure that would work so well. The ad said the inn was sanitized. This is necessary but works against them. I had to air my room out before I was satisfied. Given the coastal nature of the inn's location. Everyone would be sweaty. My bed didn't stink. It was mostly clean, but I guess I was looking for flaws. I could find a little more than a hint of sweat. Not enough to affect my sleep or to continue noticing it later. But I thought it was worth noting given there are folk who are extremely more sensitive to this kind of thing. The continental breakfast. . . .please shut this down and do not open it until it is taken care of and can be properly maintained! - One half of the larger toaster did not work. - selection was limited. Cereal, yogurt, tea and/or coffee I think as I didn't have any, waffle, and toast with the butter, cream cheese, mayo and eggs and sausage. No fruit. Maybe I was unreasonable but I was of the impression fruit was a normal inclusion in these kind of breakfasts. - either we had the most perfect coincidence ever. Or the eggs and sausage were not replaced but reheated for the next morning. - the OJ and apple juice had fermented. I'm no beer expert. But I can tell a fermented taste compared to what the juices should taste. This is a 2 star review because I have experienced worse. All the same. I would never recommend this to ANYONE! My condolences to the staff who do all they can. And to the staff, higherups and more who delegate or slack off? Y'all need to pull your weight and feel ashamed of yourselves for not pitching in and letting this happen. Seeing some of the other reviews. Maybe our rooms were that different and some didn't partake in the continental breakfast."
"Altogether, a very good value, and it's wonderful for comfort and quality. Very clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly, free fast Wi-Fi, indoor pool, great free breakfast. Nice size tv, great cable. Mini fridge and microwave.. Nice beds and pillows. Been 3 times, and it's never crowded. It's inexpensive and close enough to the beaches, and all the fun stuff around Port Orange.. Immediately across the street are Rouses and WalMart , and fast food... You can walk to all the conveniences. The neighborhood is good, barely heard traffic. My room had a slightly musty odor but didn't affect my stay. While the AC unit did hum a bit, the air was nice and cold. Breakfast was plentiful and available every morning. Nice cafe setting. Again, it's a very good value, and wonderful for comfort."
"The first room smelled so bad, we have it another chance and moved to a second room. It was covered in mold, the curtains...the floor. The bed linings had a white stain I can imagine what it was. Never even used the room, then still waiting to get a refund. They said they didn't know about the mold, but I just read a review from weeks ago complaining about the same thing. Horrible place...do not go there unless you want to get sick from mold!!"
"My boyfriend and I stayed here this past weekend for my birthday. We expected to not have the most fanciest hotel, being two young adults it was understandable, HOWEVER, the mold in the room was outrageous and you could see the air conditioner had not been touched, cleaned, wiped in YEARS. The smell was so bad we took air fresheners from my car and put them on the vent. We were greeted with roaches as soon as we walked in our room. We continued to see roaches throughout our stay on the walls, on the BED. Would not recommend this hotel anyone. We did not stay in our room or on property unless we were showering or sleeping it was that bad. The smells throughout the hotel were very moldy and the room was even worse. Thanks to the uncleanliness we are both now sick! Happy Birthday weekend to me lol."
