"I definitely wouldn't recommend this complex on it's own, but Paige, Jose, and Aaron make the choice worth it. Yes, the buildings are old. When I moved in, my unit wasn't cleaned nor inspected, and all of my appliances (except the dishwasher) were dirty and broken. As soon as I brought this to Paige's attention (the property manager), she scheduled a phone call with me next day to go over my concerns and come up with solutions. From there, I was able to get all new appliances, my apartment cleaned, and she even offered a carpet cleaning. Jose, the service manager, and Aaron, were the main people coordinating everything. And Aaron came and made sure my microwave was put in today. On top of that, we will even be discussing options to rectify the time lost without the amenities I'm paying for and couldn't use."
"I moved here about 3 months ago. This has been by far the worst place I have ever rented, from the state of the apartments to the maintenance to the management. My move-in was delayed a week for several issues to include soft spots in the walls that have never been properly addressed and are only getting worse, and bugs as food was left under the appliances and never cleaned out since the last tenants. I had access to the app that shows when maintenance enters, and they were here for 3 hours in total, just on one day, two days before I was to move in again. Drywall itself, if done correctly for the jointing compound to cure, takes min. 24 hours. The soft spots are back, as this is obviously a moisture issue that hasn't been addressed, just continually patched over poorly. Over a month ago, 1 1/2 months after being here, I found mold that they had painted over and was now coming out of the paint and onto my things. It is eating through the bathroom vanity, into the walls, and the countertop itself is soft, the softness something I even made sure to make note of when I moved in. A month, and they did not do anything. I had to send yet another email, loop in the corporate customer service email. In the meantime, my things are being covered in spores. They finally sent out a mold specialist and admit there is mold and this requires remediation over a month after they were notified. They will not let me see the mold report as they are "not legally obligated". I had to go back and forth for weeks, submit a 7 day notice, continually go into a leasing office that is not on the property I even live at, get ignored via emails and calls, told that I just do not understand a process I know full well, and only after having to contact every single number and email I had to borderline harass to obtain, have they even begun to fix the smaller issues of the apartment. They intended to keep myself, a disabled and immune compromised individual and assistance animals, inside of a 520sqft apartment while removing mold, and only after contact them, the remediators, and having to plead for my own health and safety for over a week, are they even willing to consider reimbursement for a hotel, for nearly a week. They have not even addressed the walls going soft, and are continuing to ignore and violate their obligations. These are just the issues I am facing as well, as so many of these other comments are true. The dumpsters are constantly overflowing, there is little to no security despite what they advertise to tenants on lease signing, poor maintenance (aside from Cody who is about the only knowledgeable personnel), common spaces and amenities are poorly upkept, and I'm sure I could think of a few more."
"I have lived here for close to five years. The apartments and amenities are good. Maintenance team is very responsive, professional, and helpful at getting issues resolved. The 24x7 emergency maintenance services are extremely quick to respond to issues round the clock. The low stars are due to issues with new leasing office staff. There is potential for the office admin staff to be more timely in their responses. The office staff can only be reached via phone/email on most days, they are not onsite. Some neighbors have noted that an alternative way to get resolutions for persistent issues is by emailing the CEO of UDR directly. A couple of my neighbors had issues because some tenants were extremely noisy and smoked weed. Tenants had to break lease and move out due to some tenants not being courteous. Drug needles are found lying in the grass as well. So if you are looking for a quiet place, this may not work. There’s a pool, gym, tennis court and a dog park on-site. The pool has stayed shut, and the dog park and tennis court have not had lights for 7 months post the hurricane. The dog park had been severely neglected for years. Agility equipment at the park had been in a dilapidated condition with hazards associated with chunks of concrete poking out of the foundation of benches and equipment. Several ponds and dense trees in the community make for a beautiful landscape. One of the ponds has always had a duckweed issue, it needs to be looked into. One of the neighbors (who has written a separate review here) moved out due to the duckweed issue as well. The grounds are generally well maintained. The community feels safe. A security car patrols the community all night. Residents have the contact information for the on-site community security patrol car in case they want to report something. Apartments have digital smart locks and smart thermostats that can be operated using a phone app. Pest control services are offered and are easy to schedule. Parking spots are assigned for the apartments and are limited, un-numbered spots are available for guest parking. A 1bhk apartment generally has 1 assigned parking spot, so if there are two cars, it could be challenging to find a spot for the second car close to the building since it has to be parked in an un-numbered spot. The location is great - Altamonte mall and Cranes Roost Park are close by. Several key shopping places are in the town center less than a minute away. The rent went up quite a bit in the last year. Overall I have had a good experience living here due to the location, responsive maintenance team, and great neighbors. But the low stars are due to new office staff, the site staff in 2017-2019 was great. Leasing office sees quite a bit of turnover in staff and customer service from leasing office has severely declined with time. If you sort the reviews here from most recent to oldest, you can see how the most recent ones are rated low as compared to the previous years."
"I’ve lived here for the past two years with my aunt, and I really don’t like the management… First of all there are RATS!! Like literally at night and early morning I here them just running around between the walls. At first, I thought my neighbors had like a hyper chihuahua but we started to see rat poop INSIDE THE CLOSETS?? So we called the management tell them the issue my aunt is really scared of rats btw… the management said they can come and “check it out” on monday. Which was 5 days later… we couldn’t cook we couldn’t store food for 5 days and I’m really disappointed. However they came after 5 days and figured that the rats come inside the apartment from the huge holes in the ceiling from our food storage closet and they closed it but there are still holes?? i also dont getwhy they didn’t do all of it. Whenever the laundry broke down or AC or smt they always come in 2 days but nowadays they take forever to come. One time our AC was leaking and the floors were all wet. And we have carpet on the floors. 1 month we had to deal with the moldy smell and it was really bad. They should get better with the trash also maybe put more trash containers or smt because it gets real packed and the trash stays there couple of days causing a bad smell. Also since the hurricane 2022 the lake and the pool combined and since then they couldn’t properly fix it so no pool. The gym smells like toilet and it’s been like that since I moved here… They said they were working on it but nothing. Also the gym doesn’t even have a lock anyone can walk in!! I just hope management changes or they become more aware that there are humans living in this place not animals!! Also the water here smells very bad I feel gross when I do my laundry or shower with that water because it makes my clothes smells so bad. I really enjoy our apartments view and the location but I think those are the only pros of this place… def moving out of this place!!"
"Extremely disappointed. Rent went up $500 per month over the last two years and they decide to fill the HIGHLY UTILIZED jacuzzi with cement. Tell me where is the increased value???? And please hold the commentary about the sister community whose jacuzzi was also filled with cement. Boo!!!"
