"This may be a long review but if you take nothing else from this my main point is DO NOT MOVE INTO CENTRAL PARK APRTMENTS! I moved in just over a month ago and it has been a TERRIBLE experience from the very first day. These 14 months can not pass fast enough so I CAN MOVE OUT! I thought I would move into something cheaper while I started law school but you truly get what you pay for and it is not worth it. To sum up the major issues... 1. Although you may see a beautiful model you might get a run down dirty apartment upon move in day like a did. 2. DO NOT be fooled by building J. It is the only clean remodeled building the rest are 30 years old, run down and filthy. One can't even hold the rail while walking up stairs because its so rusted. Insect and spider webs are taking over the dark walk way. 3. I moved into an apartment with an abundance of rust and mold. Just about the entire apartment. 4. No one did the slightest walk through before I moved in there was still belongings from precious tenants. So I hope they received their deposit fee back because no one cleaned. FRAUD. 5. Washer and dryer rusted, cabinets yellow not white, patio doors didn't lock and screen door was slit and rusted, bathtub molded, sink rusted, hanging door handles the list goes on. 6. Website falsely advertises and so does leasing consultant. Only shows you remodeled apartments and buildings look clean and that is farthest from the truth. I have video asking will I receive the exact apartment that I walked through and the answer was yes only difference was I would not have stainless steel appliances. A complete lie! 7. Maintainece request will continuously be closed/ resolved without any one stepping foot in your apartment to even investigate. You have to drive BACK to leasing office to complain because they rarely answer phones. Thanks to Lawrence for helping out at last minute when he didn't have to because other co-workers slacked 8. Assistant property manager Sharrie is ghetto, rude and unprofessional. When I bringing up my concerns regarding the conditions of my apartment instead of taking accountability tries to belittle you and throw a 100 dollar credit at you. Although the leasing consultant seemed nice once you become a "problem tenant" she also now has an attitude I'm not comfortable speaking to either if more problems arise. Nothing was officially handled until the property manager stepped in after numerous complaints. She's pleasant but it doesn't undo this whole experience. 9. I was told since "most" of my request were completed I shouldn't complain. Although the apartment still contained mold and rust at that time and should've been handled before I moved in. 10. Outside of rent, water, and trash be aware unbeknownst to myself you will also be charged sewer, service fee, account set up fee's, community common area utility fee's etc. every month. So residents are literally paying for leasing office utilities and probably outside lighting. I've NEVER heard of such nonsense. It is not in the lease so carefully read all paperwork. 11. The money you thought you would be saving you won't because of all the extra fees a month added on at a different amount every month. 12. The car wash station looked abandoned 13. Trash area has loads and loads of trash making the property looking even more worse than it already does. 14. Gates don't work 15. 3 maintainece workers for 300 apartments 16. Tenants are encouraging stray animals by leaving bowls of food in stair wells. I could write a book about the condition of these apartments but bottom line is RUN DON'T WALK AWAY FROM THESE APARTMENTS THERE'S MUCH BETTER APARTMENTS WITH BETTER STAFF! Many of the recent move in reviews are stating some same issues with an generic apologies response in return that does nothing but this is the real deal. I know I should have rode around and checked the complex myself so lesson learned. Hopefully I can prevent someone else from this headache and save them some money. I have attached a few photos but even those won't do any justice. Hope this helps others."
"This was the best apartment I have lived in the neighborhood was quite my neighbors where pretty quite for the most part. Maintenance was amazing they were always on top of service requests which is a blessing because most places aren’t like that. The people in the front office are great, thought can be hard to get ahold of sometimes because they are busy so it’s best to just stop in the office! Overall it was great I saw a few roaches and a palmetto bug once that gave me a heart attack. Though it’s Florida and that’s going to happen from time to time, every time I saw to many bugs I would put in a service request for pest control and it was always good for at least a month-two with no nasty bugs! Really missing them right now in my new place but I had to move because we moved out Of state!"
"My package got delivered to the wrong person and they were kind enough to drop it off at the leasing office. Sherrie was very helpful and quick about letting me know! She held it for me until I was able to get it. Greatly appreciate it!"
"DO NOT MOVE HERE One of the worst apartment complexes I’ve ever been at. 1) The walls are so thin you can hear the apartments above and below you, even down to when they use the toilet. 2) I had AC issues from the week I moved in where for about 1-2 times a month, my AC would not work. I was gaslit for 9 months that it was just a drainage issue. I was told by maintenance that the AC was a new unit and it was because I was in a middle unit that I was experiencing this issue. TURNS OUT, the unit actually needed to be replaced which they did after 9 MONTHS of me complaining/submitting consistent service requests. 3) The squirrel issue is ridiculous. In the beginning I kept having issues with my dryer in the unit. It just so happens that the squirrels were getting into the dryer vent because there was no cover put on the outside to prevent them from doing so. I was told for half of my lease that they couldn’t fix it because maintenance had a ladder issue. After continuous serious requests and showing the attached picture reflecting the eyes coming out of my vent, I was finally able to get a dryer cover installed to prevent them from entering the dryer vent and eventually my unit. 4) My dishwasher still doesn’t work and hasn’t worked from the start of my lease. I’ve made requests for it to be fixed, maintenance came out twice, and was told on the second visit that I would get a new one. It’s been months later and I’ve still not gotten a new one. 5) The condition of these apartments is laughable for the price, honestly find anywhere else. There are cheaper options that care more"
"I am so glad and thankful with Sherrie Graham who was an angel and a beautiful person who helped us find the perfect apartment for my family. Having a family and especially a baby you want the best place to live in and we definitely found it and we felt good as soon as we walked in through the doors. Sherrie responded to every email that I sent her right away, answering all my questions. She does an amazing job and to anyone who asks me for a place to rent I'll for sure recommended Central Park and Sherrie because she went above and beyond."
