Reviews
"Magnolia Manor is pretty great to live in. The maintenance and realtors are pretty responsive compared to most apartment complexes if you have an issue."
"I have lived at Magnolia Manor for the past 2 years and I absolutely love it. It is a small and quiet community and I have never had an issue with noise or any neighbors. The skylight in the living room provides plenty of light and the long, big mirrors are a guest and personal favorite. The location is great, we are super close to the bus, and there is never an issue with parking. The trash and recycling bins are super close and never get overfilled or dirty. Maintenance is quick and easy to communicate with. I have never had an issue with pests. The appliances are pretty up to date and work perfectly. The apartment is pretty spacious, the ceilings are high, and the kitchen is a nice size with big cabinets and plenty of storage space. The rent price is also amazing. I highly, highly recommend living here!"
"Went to a showing today and I cannot believe they made me walk into such an untidy and unpleasant occupied unit. It was dark and smelly and I felt incredibly uncomfortable being in there at the same time as the tennant. Having to walk through and into rooms that were wrecked and had dirtly laundry all over the floor. One look at the bathroom that had human waste all over it and I needed to get out of there, quick. Maybe do a quick look at the unit before making potential rentors go inside that wreck of a unit. I would have preffered to sit and look at pictures at the leasing office or do a virtual tour over that experience any day. The showing took 2 minutes because I wanted out. I was asked if I had any questions but I was drawing blanks. I left in such disbelief. This could have been handled much better."
"I love living here! Very quiet and is kept really clean and freshly landscaped. Maintenance requests are answered immediately and I've never been disappointed by management."
"Please read before living there. I would strongly caution against living at Magnolia Manor. When we moved in, the apartment was in good shape if not a little dusty and dirty on the floor and in some of the drawers. The inside of the toilet tank had a black substance inside it. Either way, not a big deal, no one actually looks inside the tank of a toilet anyway. Everything went great for the first 5-6 months we lived there. At that point, I was informed that I was in violation of the lease by my car leaking oil. At first, I was told that I could just put a piece of cardboard under it to catch the very slow leak. I was subsequently told that I could not use cardboard and I could no longer park my car at my apartment. Because my car was threatened to be towed, I was (economically speaking) forced to sell my car and purchase another vehicle that did not leak oil. Unfortunately that was not the end of the unpleasant experience at Magnolia Manor. In the last 2-3 months of our yearlong lease, the maintenance manager dragged his feet and would not repair a corner cabinet which inhibited the either the oven or the cabinet from being utilized. I was basically told that since we were leaving it was not worth the time to fix the cabinet. In all fairness, before the incident with my car, repairs were timely and prompt. The last and final straw prompting this negative review was from the move out process. My wife and I, who are not afraid of getting our hands dirty, cleaned the apartment to a cleaner state than we received it in (remember the condition I previously described). We were informed that the apartment was in "perfect" condition when we took possession and charged for 4 hours of professional cleaning. I can understand the owner wanting to protect his 1.8 million dollar investment in the property and not wanting my old, ratty car to jeopardize this. What I cannot understand, however, is why the management staff would be so petty and dishonest about the move out. Overall, not a terrible place to live. The building is nicer than some, the bus route is convenient, and until you have an incident, the staff will be accommodating. If, however, you expect to get your deposit back or find any sympathy with the staff after you have fallen from their good graces, look elsewhere."
