"We stayed at this LaQuinta for 3 nights. Requested a handicap accessible room with shower. As a lot of VA patients stay at this location it is busy. They do have a wheelchair available to transport guests from entrance to their room. We were given an accessible room with shower on the second floor and called down to request a chair for the shower. It arrived in a short amount of time. Breakfast was the same each morning—scrambled eggs, potatoes with peppers, sausage, biscuits and sausage gravy. Fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, cereal, waffle machines. Assorted breads and juices. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate were available in the lobby. Only negative is lots of items were frozen—hard boiled eggs and breads. The eggs were not hot and the staff waited till there was nothing left before putting more out. Front desk staff responded quickly to request for extra towels even when they were busy. Our room didn’t have a coffee maker but had the supplies for one. The request was taken care of in a short time. I probably should’ve adjusted the fridge temperature as some of our items froze. We would stay here again. It is close to I75 and easy to get too."
"This La Quinta was an excellent value for the money. It was very clean, seemed pretty new (tiles, grout, carpets, bedding... all seemed new and clean.) The beds were comfortable, with soft quality linens, and rooms included coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave. Bathrooms were fantastic, roomy, with large well-lit mirror in the bathroom. It was safe, with well-lit parking lot, very receptive staff, and a good complimentary hot breakfast. Although it doesn't have its own bar/restaurant, it included a few extra touches like a very large trendy lobby, with fun light fixtures, TV's, and electric fireplaces. Although I enjoyed the Dove line of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in full sized refillable bottles in the shower/bath (cutting down on small plastic bottle waste,) there was no accompanying lotion. Other hotels that I've stayed in lately have also followed suite with refillable bottles, which I appreciate, but others have also had lotion in their lineup. Finally, I also felt that the shower (regular non-HC accessible bath) was a little too slippery. (I think easily remedied by some type of anti-slip treatment.) Bottom line - this clean and comfortable hotel was a fantastic value for the money, and we'd definitely stay again."
"I was pleasantly surprised by this location! La Quinta in my hometown where I am from is nowhere near as nice in comparison to this Gainesville location. I was originally very hesitant to even consider a stay at a La Quinta based on the rundown nasty ones in my hometown that are so gross if I had a pet roach… I wouldn’t even allow it to stay at our local La Quinta! We were tired from driving & needed a place to stay while we handled some business in the area. I quick searched up what were we near & this La Quinta popped up, I gave it a glance online & figured I’d go check it out, worse case I’d pass on staying & go somewhere else. To my surprise it checked out as good as the photos & info on the website. The staff was nice, the rooms were nice, we slept great, & the breakfast was good as well. Glad I didn’t let our local ones back home ruin it for me & that I gave this Gainesville location a try. We’ll definitely stay here again when we’re in the area."
"Location is good. This is a decent place to stay, if you don't mind the smell of dog urine literally everywhere. The hotel appears to try and keep things nice, but I'm totally turned off by the dog smell and urine smell. We stayed on the 3rd floor, which is supposed to be completely pet free, but even that floor smells off. I've had pets and dogs my entire life, but it appears that some people are not responsible for theirs when it comes to staying in this hotel. One thing I do have to give the hotel credit for, is the signs telling people "no pets in the breakfast area". It's a shame that they have to be reminded. The hotel could maybe do carpet cleaning more often. Finally, the breakfast options are some of the best I've seen at any Wyndham hotel. Plenty of good variety. In ending, if I find myself in the area again, I would entertain the idea of trying out the hotel again to see if things improve."
"This was our first stay at a La Quinta and it will now be our go to hotel. We have a dog and the pet fee is very reasonable unlike other chains and the rooms are much nicer than other pet friendly hotels. Check in was fast and staff extremely friendly. Our room was spotless and modern. Shower was huge and there was plenty of hot water and water pressure. Beds were really conformable, linens spotless. We heard very little noise and slept well. Breakfast was quite good and everything was fresh - the coffee was great as well. Met and spoke to the manager as I checked out, he was extremely polite and friendly."
