"I lived here for two years, my sister over four. This apartment complex should have been condemned decades ago due to the structural and EXTREME mold issues that have never properly been addressed. Our apartment would flood every time it rained, water pouring through each window, never got fixed, causing extreme water damage. Any visible problems will only be painted over. When paint started lifting from the ceiling (likely from the water damage) we could see that underneath each layer of paint was only mold. Our ceiling was entirely black with mold underneath the fresh white paint they apply after each tenant moves out. Why would you paint over layers and layers of harmful amounts of mold? Many other residents have had the same issue and nothing will ever be done. The ceiling was quite literally falling off of our apartment, nothing was ever done. A resident here in the reviews said they had mold toxicity and I 100% believe that. My general health was the worst it had ever been as an active 20 year old living in this complex, I was sick constantly and always unsure as to why, since moving out of this complex I haven’t experienced any of those health related issues. My car was broken in to three times living here, nothing was ever done. Cameras might be a good idea? It’s extremely concerning that many residents have tried addressing these issues with management and zero long term solutions have been created. Unfortunately for this apartment complex, what they’re doing by cutting corners will eventually have devastating effects on the long term health of residents who choose to live here, especially for many years. I truly cannot believe I paid my whole rent every month for years despite living in an apartment that should have been considered unsafe for anyone to live in. This complex will respond and act like they care but again, when I was a resident, nothing was ever done, I still know individuals that live there currently and problems are still not being addressed adequately. I want nothing from the complex now, but potential residents should be aware of what they will be living with and that their health may be seriously effected while living at Lakewood Villas."

"My wife and I lived here for 4 years. We absolutely loved it there. Set on a lake/swamp the views were peaceful and centering. There was nothing better than drinking coffee in bed looking out on a wooded swamp. Because of the swamp and all of the trees there are tons of birds including an owl or two that used to nest by our apartment. We even once had a turtle bury eggs right off of our porch. Management was reasonably responsive to maintenance requests and did a generally good job keeping the place up, especially for an older apartment complex. If these were townhouses for sale we would have purchased one."

"I have lived in Lakewood villas for almost 2 years. My husband, and I live in a 2 large. We love the unique layout of the apartment. The management team at Lakewood villa is amazing every interaction I’ve had has been positive. They are always keeping their tenants up to date on anything going on in the complex. The apartment grounds are always up kept. There are a lot of trees in the area, and someone comes to leaf blow multiple times a month. Maintenance is very friendly and comes in a timely manner. I love living here!"
