"Living here is dangerous. Last weekend someone was TRAPPED inside the elevator. The property manager lied to me months ago about new elevator inspection certificates (see 8/23 date in photo - now 6+ months expired). Does anyone on site care about resident safety or preventative maintenance? If inspections were done, why does it take 6+ months to post new certificates? I'm not sure what's worse - the lie if no inspection was completed at all, or the blatant laziness to literally walk 50 feet and post if it was. Maybe now that someone was TRAPPED steps will be taken to prevent it from happening again. It's refreshing to finally start seeing honest reviews here as opposed to residents being bribed in hopes of winning $500 for a 5 star review (yes they actively solicit and email residents to do so). Everything that you read re: mis-management, horrific upkeep, and disgusting conditions is true. After living here and seeing the steady decline over the past few years, this is by no means the "upscale" property the Arium / Seaview website would want you to believe. Lastly, if you need any further evidence of how little the onsite PM and APM care about residents, read the canned and insensitive replies to other resident concerns that are posted. I receive better customer service and am treated with more respect by the baggers at Publix (and I've spent $45,000+ to live here the past 2 years). I will say Jessica has been very pleasant and responsive since she was hired a few months ago - maybe corporate should turn the property over to her. In summary, don't move here - look elsewhere. "The people who run this place are absolute scum. Despite paying a premium price for the apartment and the valet trash/dumpster, they decided to padlock the trash area. Instead of fixing the trash compactor that has been broken for months, they're installing security cameras and threating residents who have to take their own trash when the valet fails to pick it up (which is often). The premises is littered with trash and there are overflowing bags of dog poop that aren't changed for weeks at a time. The BBQ areas get filled up with dog poop and those aren't changed either (not to mention the grills are broken). The gate that they advertise has only worked for a couple weeks in the last two years. For the last couple of months they've been sending threating emails warning people who are talking too loudly on their phones in their own apartments, because the soundproofing is so bad. Bad soundproofing is going to be an even bigger problem because a Walmart is being built 100 feet away from the apartments. They changed the time you can put your trash out (without notice) and threatened people who put it out early. Definitely not renewing my lease this year, but maybe I'll reconsider if someone fires the people making these decisions and also the morons writing these emails."
"Firstly, i have been on a two weeks vacation to orlando however i got a email from the office about noise disturbances even though i haven’t been home. Since then i have been trying to contact the office by email and phone. Still haven’t gotten the chance to speak to someone. Secondly, When i first moved the property wasn’t cleaned i then filed a complaint. They agreed, on my day off i was sleeping and was woke up by sounds in the living room. They had a cleaning company sent to my room without contacting me prior. There are a lot more issues the trash system they have is inconvenient, inconsistent and if you leave out your trash outside of the 7pm- 9am period you will be fined by the office. I spoke to the office about this and then notified me that the trash is not for my inconvenience and i signed for it already in the least. The halls are not properly maintained. In conclusion i can go on and on"
"Do your self a favor and don’t even consider renting from this placeonly reason it has any good reviews is cause they offered renters a chance to win a 500$ gift card. They will give you false hope, require way more then they say the will.(money wise) Office is a joke and has no answers for anything, for someone who’s been working in the renting business of apartments for “38 years” totally clueless. Poop over flows the trash bins, just don’t do it. Whole office is rude, the put on a front to take your money and then as soon as you have questions they don’t have the answer to because they are clueless they will try to act like you’re out of line."
"Perhaps my standards are too high. *Young maintenance men are not quite competent with repairs. Left my freezer damaged without admitting the accidental incident. Accepting responsibility is key instead of making the resident point it out due to fear of being held being blamed and held financially responsible at the end of lease. *Initially I had a few roaches on move in. They assured me I would be put in the extermination list. No one has come in yet. (I've been here 3 wks) The can of bug spray they gave me has curtailed the sightings. * The upkeep part for this Pet friendly community does not make it easy for owners to do the right thing by taking care of their dog excrement with lack of bags and overflowing cans.Very disappointing ...and disgusting! * This is not a gated community. The gate has not worked since living here. That's only been 3wks but from what I understand it's been months. * On a good note... The property is very pretty. The noise within my apartment is minimal with the exception of heavy footsteps. The halls are clean and the other residents friendly. Will I renew my lease in 11months? That has yet to be determined. Hopefully honest reviews will only raise awareness to the areas that need improvements. Details matter!"
