"The only redeeming part of this hotel is the location. Very old and dirty looking rooms, saw cockroaches. Doesn’t offer anything but has the audacity to charge a resort fee for their own rooms and area that is in worse shape than any motel. The bathroom has what looks like black mold and hundreds of little flies. Won’t even hold the luggage for you. The only thing you get for your $35 resort fee is probably towels. I would not recommend staying here at all. Stay away."

"Hotel is similar to most boutique hotels on South Beach. Location is great for restaurants and access to the beach. Check in was a bit of a process with a long line and such a small lobby. There was one young gentleman working who was doing the best he could with about 12-15 guests waiting to check in. The room itself was bit of a let down. The room was a nice size but had wasted space that would have given it a more comfortable space. The photos will explain. Beds and pillows we’re comfortable with clean bedding. The jacuzzi tub was old and dirty. A bit disappointing since I wasn’t able to relax and enjoy. Asked for towels and toilet paper and it was never delivered. Had to go back to the front desk and request twice before I was provided with the items. Location is on the main strip so I expected it to be loud. This is not a place for rest and relaxation. It’s meant for its location to the action. Location 10/10 Overall 4/10"

"While at The Chesterfield, we had several significant issues. Upon arrival, the air conditioning unit in our room was missing. Further, there was a dirty towel and mud all over the floor in front of the hole in the wall where the unit should have been. I had to bring it to the attention of the gentleman who let us into the room. It was quickly re-installed, but served as a less than ideal first impression. The worst part of our stay, however, had to do with accessing our suite. Throughout our stay, entering our space was REPEATEDLY an issue. When I say repeatedly, I mean we went through no fewer than 20 key cards trying to get consistent, dependable access to the room. No matter where the card was stored or what care we took, the door was near impossible to open without the assistance of the front desk, maintenance and a master key. At one point, our inability to access our space almost led us to miss an excursion booking. Take care to ensure that you are able to easily access your room before you find yourself locked out in the middle of the night!!"

"I stayed here on 9.11.23 - 9.12.23 for a layover I had in Miami with my spouse. The check in process was easy but the ladies at the desk weren’t very friendly or inviting. The first room #205 we were placed in was not what I expected because the room online looked totally different. The phone didn’t work nor did the bathroom door fully close. We called to let them know the issue and they placed us in a second room #305 which the room door didn’t properly close and would be easy for someone to get in. We called the front desk to let them know the issue and we were placed in a third room #500. This room wasn’t any better. It was dirty and had hair in the bed and along panels. The wall paper was coming off the walls. This hotel was not what i expected and the pictures online are very deceiving. The hallways smelled and the elevator was very small. Also walls are very thin and we could hear the people next door talking. The only good thing about this hotel was that it was walking distance to the beach and had plenty food options nearby. This is def a 1 star hotel."
