"DO NOT RECOMMEND! My husband and I booked the King room, when we arrived they gave us a double bed. The said they over booked the king rooms and had only the double bed left. Customer service would not let us cancel or give us a refund for the price difference. The room was booked directly with the hotel. Other than that, the rooms were dirty. The price vs value is completely not there. It has been the worst customer service and room quality I have experienced. The only redeemable quality is the proximity to the beach, but honestly I’d recommend taking an Uber instead of staying here."

"I was nervous when I booked this hotel, after reading the bad reviews I almost cancelled. I'm very glad I didn't! We booked for the Catalina but were put in the Dorset, the hotel was clean, the room was comfy, and the staff were very helpful. Taco Taco was amazing and the rooftop pool was super fun! I would stay here again."

"I would say the only perk of staying here was the location. The rooms themselves were fine, just dirty. The bathrooms were pretty bad as well. The floors in the bathrooms were pretty disgusting, and the shower drain was partially clogged. The faucet head was also barely held by the sink countertop. There was stray hairs all over the bathroom as well. I also didn't like how the front door lock didn't work, basically having to just rely on the mediocre outdated card system. Last and probably least was the bed. I woke up with a very sore back this morning. I'm 23. The bed was bad. The staff themselves were fine, i just hated walking into the lobby cause im introverted and the front desk was right there. Just a me thing. Overall a very mediocre experience. Probably wouldn't come again unless I got the hotel for half the price. Paid about 100 bucks. Waiting for my deposite to get sent back."

"Location and price are the only good qualities of this hotel. It is rare for me to post negative comments on reviews but yeah it’s not great. The front desk/room service will literally never answer the phone. Called at least 8 times over 2 days. Even trying to call on the way to the hotel I couldn’t get them to answer. Once arriving they charged a huge deposit that was more than the cost of the rooms. The rooms were definitely not clean and the blankets have stains. There was no remote to the tv so couldn’t watch that. I really stopped looking around because it just made me feel bleh. I’d say a manager needs switched to someone that cares about quality. I mean like I said location is good and there are a lot of restaurants around but I will not be returning unless I’m desperate."

"The only good thing is the location. Do not believe the pictures; it is not remotely accurate. Rooms are outdated, dirty, broken, humid. The ladies at the reception desk during the week were rude. They have mini bars and say they have to charge a $100 deposit each night even though you don’t want that room. (No options. You get what you get) there are three different buildings and the rooms are different. The TV in the room didn’t work, the beds were low. the bathroom is small. It is so humid everything feels wet and damp. They never had towels. Most of the Staff were not very helpful and just were not interested in making our experience remotely comfortable, even at the restaurants. It felt like you were bugging them the minute you approached. They also ran out of items. Going to the reception to ask for basic things (cleaning the room, giving us towels, solving our reservation issue) was like talking to the wall. The staff is 0 % friendly nor do they care about giving the bare minimum. Even asking directly and explicitly for things they just blew you off. Being a block away from the beach was nice and the weekend staff was a little better but overall. I would not stay here in the future"
