"This place is in serious decline. I’ve stayed here many times, and in the past few times my experience has been poor. First , they don’t offer ANY coffee….at all….there is no hotels I’ve ever stayed at that don’t at least offer Coffee. There is no water to be had except in the vending machine, they used have water bottles in the rooms and would offer crafts of water … I feel like they’re completely cheaping out. Breakfast is an absolute rip off, $13 for coffee and a Croissant… COME ON… Go 1/2 a block to tropical cafe and get a proper breakfast for that. The staff is less than friendly and so many things are broken. The elevator isn’t working the rooms are in disrepair. When we opened the door you are greeted with the pungent smell of mold. I don’t know what’s happening. Maybe they changed the ownership but this place used to be awesome. With a great vibe now it’s just…..not as cool. For the money you can find better… I guess everyplace has a life cycle."
"The private Deluxe King room was a great value. It was very comfortable and spacious. Unlike at some hostels, the water was actually hot. I think the Garden House, which has the private rooms and suites, has its own hot water. The TV did not work at first but a repair guy arrived quickly and fixed it. The only disappointment, a minor thing, was the lack of drinking glasses, surprising in a room so well appointed otherwise. So they get a 4.99."
"I paid for an all female quad, but was put with boys. Realized it late, and Victor was great about offering solutions. Victor was actually great period! He knows customer service. Like old-school, meaninful CS. Either way, I loved my stay and will probably stay here again. The room was clean, the grounds were tropical and enchanting, and the location is very walkable. Bring your own lock for the locker in shared rooms. Agree about needing to have a kitchen space for guests, even if it’s just a fridge and microwave. And a water fountain. You cater to budget travelers after all! Also, if you’re a light sleeper, you will not get much sleep here. Even with ear plugs. There is noise everywhere. Still an amazing weekend trip!"
"Had a fantastic stay at the hostel! The atmosphere was lively, and the staff was friendly and accommodating, especially Cesar who want above and beyond for quality service. Clean facilities, comfy beds, and a great location. Definitely recommend for a budget-friendly and enjoyable experience."
