"Air b&b for almost a week. Great dock for fishing and close to great restaurants and beaches within walking distance! I would highly recommend unit 26. Less expensive than any nice hotels in the area so go for it. So worth it."

"came across this by accident and could not sit by and not comment on a review posted on this site !! the person that made all the derogatory comments about the owner and the conditions at the Ebb Tide could not possibly have stayed there! I have been staying at the Ebb Tide for 22 years for at least 85 to 90 different times,I have never encountered any problems of any kind . I have found the owners very hospitable and eager to make my stays the best they can! I stay at the motel at different times of the year and go certain time to meet with people every year! They come fromthe UK, Holland, Canada, etc and many of the people I see every year have been coming longer than I have ! If this motel was like Mr. LePage says I don"t think that would be the case! It sound to me like Mr. Lepage had some kind of ulterior motive against the owner but anyone who actually stays at the Ebb Tide knows different! Love the place!!!!!"

"Biggest problem was bedbugs, but a murder across the street didn't help our experience. Myself and my girlfriend found this place online, and thinking it was a good deal, we paid ahead arrived on time the day of our stay. We were told that our room wouldn't be ready until 8:00 pm, which is outrageous! We wasted 4 hours waiting for a room at a place that was 1/2 empty, but decided to not let it set the tone for our stay. What a mistake. Upon entry to our "deluxe' room, I was disappointed at the sparse furnishing and dead cockroaches on the floor. How this room was cleaned an hour earlier and dead bugs on the floor is beyond my ability to comprehend. Turns out, a dead cockroach was the least of our worries. More on that later... We went to explore Clearwater Beach, which is beautiful, but this lodging is located in what's known as "the ghetto", where drug users and drunk domestic fights at 3am are standard Friday night happenings. Upon talking to one of the nardowell neighbors, it turns out someone was stabbed to death over a drug deal less that 1/2 block away from the Ebb Tide. Something about that makes me feel this is not exactly "family friendly". Our second night at the Ebb Tide, I was awoken to what I thought was a mosquito loose in the room as my arm was itching like crazy. I flipped on the light on my phone as there was no working overhead light and to my horror, my arm was covered in bed-bugs! I was done at this point. I went and coughed up $185 for a room that night, and the next night I tried to have a gentlemanly conversation with the (owner?) who was a total prick. This big fat slob who is missing all his front teeth (no joke!) was more concerned about other residents finding out about his bedbug infestation more than correcting our horrifying experience. We were told we could stay in the room we paid for or leave and not come back. We ended our vacation early - disappointed and angry. I'm not sure how they do it in whatever country his obvious accent is from, but as a retired Colonel I have never, in all my travels, been subjected to such disrespect and humiliation. And I've slept in the desert of Iraq. Do yourself a favor, steer clear of this dump. Sometime saving a few dollars isn't worth the cost of your safety, security and health."

"Excellent motel! Stayed in a two bedroom with my wife, our two kids and my parents and we were very comfortable with our accomodations. Each room has its own bathroom with shower and there is also a full kitchen. We got to know some of the other guests during our stay and everyone was very friendly. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and fishing off the dock and we caught a bunch of fish. We walked just about everywhere during our stay, it is nice that everything is so close by. The beach is across the street and there are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again."
