Residence Inn by Marriott Clearwater Beach

"Worst hotel experience for work I’ve ever had. First room I checked into I opened the air vent and was hit in the face with black mold(pictures added) I went to the front desk and they called the manager. After 30mins I was brought a fan and given the stand by room with a broken AC (picture added) I was told the fan helps and it “wasn’t that bad”. After sweating in the room for 30 minutes I went back to the front desk. I watched 5 people check in before me and then again told there was no where to put me because others still needed to check in. You would think the guy that was hit with black mold would get pushed up the check in list as it was 10pm at the time and I was staying for 5 nights. I only got a new room because I knew a co worker wouldn’t be there that night and I asked for his. The next day I asked for a toothbrush and was pointed to the drinks room to purchase one. When I got back in the room I noticed the “did you forget anything” sign that says “come to the front desk for complementary replacement”… I paid $5 for a travel toothbrush. Terrible experience and did not get treated platinum elite member."

"I was overall very pleased with my stay here. The staff were very kind and helpful. There is a nice gym with cardio machines and dumbbells. The breakfast was included and offered a wide range of healthy (and yummy) breakfast foods. The hotel seemed to be clean and was very close to the beach. My only complaint is that I got a nasty ear infection from the pool, but this can happen anywhere. The staff helped me find a nearby walkin clinic and catered to our needs. Otherwise, it was a great experience."

"I don’t normally leave reviews but I thought I should. This hotel is very nice. Location is great, views are great. The staff is super friendly. They were able to accommodate our early arrival and get us in our room at 10 am. Now for the downside. We’re facing the ocean and just below and to the right of our room is a bar/restaurant called Coco Crush. It’s nice, we had lunch there earlier, yummy drinks. It’s a fully outdoors bar. They have live music, outside, from 8pm-12am. MIDNIGHT. We’re not even super close to the restaurant, but it’s like the concert is being performed in our damn room. This is not the hotels fault and I bet they get a lot of disgruntled calls about the noise. But there noise is super obnoxious. Like… it’s really loud drumming and I have kids I’m trying to put to bed. It’s a struggle. I wish this bar had some sense and maybe only played a few hours. But it’s live music EVERY NIGHT from 8-midnight. Not happy at all."

"This hotel is great. My room is clean and spacious. The hotel staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. Warning - parking is valet only and quite expensive (I think it's $30/day, but double check before you go because I don't have a car with me). The location is great - walking distance to shops, spas, restaurants, bars, anything you want. This is the second time I've stayed here and I'll def stay here again."

"This property is right on the intercoastal and across from the beach- you get the best of both bodies of water. Hotel is within walking distance to a lot on Clearwater Beach. We took advantage of renting bicycles outside the hotel doors to ride around the area. The breakfast was good, I appreciated the non pork meat options!"
