The Avalon Club Hotel

"Anything above a four star would be egregiously over the top for this facility. "Four-star hotels offer loads of special services and amenities, including concierge services, fine dining, multiple pools and hot tubs, high-class fitness centers, bellhops, room service, valet parking, day spas, limousine services, and an array of special suites" (Navigating the Hotel Star System - Investopedia). This hotel has none of those, and refuses to be even remotely helpful with issues around early check-in or late checkouts that you will get with mainstream chains that actually value your business. Would never stay here again."

"A lovely hotel with an incredible, attentive staff! My standard suite was perfect and boasted so many amenities! The location was excellent, as well; the hotel is only steps from the beach and walking distance to all of the the fun in town. The rooftop heated pool and bar area is spacious and has gorgeous views of the sea! The perfect sunset spot. The hotel gym was well-equipped and very tidy. The only downside was the noise while trying to sleep. As mentioned in a few reviews, the walls are paper thin. My neighbors' conversation in the next suite over woke me up in the middle of the night, and even after a call down to the front desk, I could still hear their voices/television from my room. This happened each of the three nights I stayed, which was disappointing as I did not get good rest at the hotel. Overall, this is a beautiful hotel with a kind, thoughtful staff. I was extremely impressed by the staff's friendliness and attention to detail, and I will recommend this hotel to family and friends (though I will suggest they choose a suite/room that does not share a wall with another suite!)."

"Great location, great views. The pool is a little sad. Free coffee and hot chocolate on the 2nd floor. The condo is very spacious and we were happy with the space for our family."

"Where to begin - The Avalon Club exceed all of our expectations! From the time we arrived to the time we left, it was nothing but an exceptional experience. The staff was some of the friendliest that I have ever encountered, and we were thrilled that our room was ready when we arrived earlier than 4pm. The room was IMMACULATE - I mean not even a speck of dirt or dust anywhere. Although we didn't cook much, the fully equipped kitchen was wonderful to have. The entire hotel smells incredible too. The bartender (Evan) on the rooftop was extremely friendly and always attentive. The walk to the beach was so close and quick - the availability of towels, umbrellas, and beach chairs made the trip even better. The location of the hotel was great as well. We were able to walk to all of the local bars, restaurants, and shops within 5-10 minutes. I could not recommend The Avalon Club more & cannot wait to return in the future!!"
