"My partner and I stayed only one night, but that was enough. The building is lovely, typical Florida Art Deco. However, when you get to look closely, is where the problems arise. We found the bed to be awful. I have slept better camping on hard ground then in our bed. There was no way to control the AC and we found ourselves freezing. My partner, she resorted to wearing our coats to bed to stay warm. The WiFi, well, it's none existent. Not that I needed it much, but it would have been nice to use to keep track of the other members of the group I was meeting. Also, be prepared for noise. Lots of it. The party scene is real, and does not stop until about 4 AM. On a more positive note, the help was courteous and did go out of their way to help two wayward guests who arrived hours before our room was ready. You also cannot beat the view. In short, they seem to be resting on their location, and not counting on return guests."
"Price/Value quite ok. I think they call worn down nowadays Art déco... No breakfast/food/drinks and wifi very weak to non-existent (which also affects the Internet TV in the room). Service: they call the Valet car parking service when u need it (Parking 40 $ per night). Would be nice if they had real blinds... There are curtains but it's really light in the room - bring a sleeping mask. The bed is really hard and the pillows are uncomfy (but that's just our POV). I would not recommend this hotel."
"The rooms are plain and staff at the reception wasn't very talkative however they were helpful, for the price it's a decent hotel, people working as room service are nice and very helpful. Its quite close to the beach and if you get a room with a view to the side of the beach the view is just amazing. Uber to miami is around 20 dollars which isnt that bad. You have a lot of restaurants and bars nearby which is good. Overall for price its okay."
"The hotel is a beautiful art deco old building. With old building quirks, the elevator is one of those old ones with a door and screen door. There is no temperature control in the room but it wasn't too bad. The hotel is right in front of the beach, the bed was very comfy and the room was a good size. The only things to consider for this location is that it is loud, especially if you are facing the beach. There is no coffee or food so you will have to be prepared to go out to get them and there is a deposit that doesn't get refunded immediately after checkout, that put a dent into the budget because it wasn't listed when I did the booking. Overall I liked it and might go stay there again."
"7 pm: This service is ridiculous. We had a problem with the toilet which resulted in the bathroom being full of dirty water. I went to the receptionist who told me that the janitor will only be back tomorrow so the only thing she can do is to give me a plunger. I explained that the bathroom is full of water and a plunger won't cut it. After almost getting into an argument, she called the janitor to come in. 15 minutes later the janitor came to us with a homemade mop (a “T” shaped broomstick with a towel on it, no detergent or bucket) and a plunger. He used the plunger successfully. And let the mop there without cleaning. I told him politely to clean up, he told me in Spanish that it is not his job and I have to talk to the receptionist. I went down to the Hall and asked for a cleaner. She told me that I HAVE TO CLEAN UP. I was like look, I paid 500 dollars for this room overall. I am not going to clean this mess myself. Then she wanted to give me some detergent and told me that I can find some extra towels on the floor and I can now clean up as she cannot do it. I told her that you could you just don’t want to, after this, she told me in a rude way that she is only paid for checking people in and out and not for cleaning. Terrible service. Also, the shower head isn’t working."
