"American Airlines put us up in this hotel after a flight got delayed and we missed the last flight to our destination. So, for that purpose it was fine, BUT if I had to pay for this hotel I would have been very disappointed. First, the shuttle from the airport never came so we had an uber take us after waiting. Then, when we got to our room it smelled like the everglades swamp, just moldy and mildewey. The AC helped eventually, but it was really strong. The window was off the rails in the room so difficult to open it. Only one elevator was working and it was the slowest elevator I have ever been on. One positive, the front desk person was helpful and was able to provide some toiletries for free as our bag was in the checked luggage."
"We stayed there one night prior to our cruise. We only waited 10-15 at the airport for the free shuttle to the hotel. Customer service was excellent, and check-in only took 5 minutes. We were able to check in early. Our room was clean and a nice size. Beds and pillows were awesome. We walked two blocks to a IHOP. Check out was a breeze. We paid $12 each their shuttle to the Port of Miami."
"Best customer service! We booked a last minute cruise and hotels. This hotel was the hotel at the end of our trip, we got off the ship at 8:10 and decided to go sit in the hotel lobby until our room was ready. Once we got to the hotel they had a restaurant where we could have breakfast, kept our luggage behind the desk, and told us we could sit in the lobby until a room was ready. During our breakfast around 10:30 they informed us a room was ready. We were so grateful , we were so tired. I can't say enough how great the service was. We have another cruise in November and will book here again. Also, we had 6:10 a.m. flight home, this hotel by uber at 4:30 a.m. was only 6 minutes from the airport."
"Room was great as was the pool and workout room. Clean and comfortable. Front desk people were awesome. I bought dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and the younger woman who took my order and waited on me was extremely rude. Seemed really annoyed by me both times and said as little to me as possible. Maybe she didn’t speak English very well and was annoyed I didn’t speak Spanish? Shouldn’t matter… language was not an issue. I just pointed to what I wanted and she didn’t show any trace of a smile, be proactive with serving me, or say thank you. I rarely leave reviews but this caught my attention. And all I ordered was a chicken sandwich for dinner and a breakfast burrito for breakfast. Super simple. Other than this one person everything was great and this was a nice place."
"The room smelled like dirty carpet as soon as we walked in. I also requested a handy capped room as I was in Miami for surgery and the room was far from handy cap. The bathroom was a danger zone and can pose a liability for Best Western if someone slips and hurts themselves on the floor. We had a walk in shower which had a curtain that did not reach the floor. There was also no barrier from the shower floor to the bathroom floor so no matter how carful we were to try and not get water on the floor while taking a shower, the water would seep into the bathroom floor, underneath the bathroom door and out into the hallway of our bedroom. We then had to use our towels to clean up all the water and had to be extremely careful not to slip and fall. Our key to get into the room stopped working on us twice. So I was left standing outside while my mother went in to have them reactivate the card and this is all while in pain returning from post op appointments after having a major surgery. The staff had absolutely no personality what so ever. Very dry and no empathy when we tried to express our frustrations. Also, when we tried to order room service the phone continued to go to a voicemail when it was during their hours of operation. We had to call the front desk repeatedly to find out what was going on. We will never ever again book a hotel at any Best Western."
