"I just had a single worse shopping experience I've ever had and I'm 47 years old. I get to the checkout and the two cashiers Scott and Jessica are talking so loudly to each other that the poor man in front of me asked her three times for a pack of cigarettes and she didn't even hear him she finally got them for him and he checked out. They are still continuing to talk back and forth to each other she's dating that she's a Yankee so don't test her anybody who's a southerner. Then I get up there put my stuff on the counter she's double ringing my stuff constantly because she can't hear the machine because she's talking so loudly to Scott and this time the conversation has shifted to the military how no branch of the military can stand up to the Coast Guard and the way their men react opposed to all branches of the military. She names all military branches by name and that only the Coast Guard steps up when needed. Now this has me very upset as my son serves 7 years in the army and got blown up in Syria which caused him to have to retire and it ended his career in the Army which he loves so much. So first you have her bashing anybody that's not a Yankee now branches of the military what's next race religion sexual orientation? And Scott says he's the manager and yet lets her talk back and forth with him about this kind of subject. He saw I was upset and I stated to him why when I was walking out the door and he showed me his face how he had been hurt in the military and he supported the military and all aspects and I said but you're allowing your employee to bash all branches except for the coast guard? And I left. I will never again give my money to Family Dollar anywhere if this is the types of employees that they hire to run their stores and I hope anybody that reads this will no longer support this company if they allow this to keep happening by their employees. I will post what happened on every platform I can. This behavior is so bad. If they wanted to speak to each other on these topics then do it when they're are no customers. It's very wrong and unprofessional!!"

"These people will close early, like several hours early sometimes. They are very understaffed so there may be boxes in the aisles. Often times items are out of stock. Also frequently they don’t accept certain forms of payment."

"They have signs posted on items then when you to the register it never the price it's happened several times to the point the refused to sell something the had on the because the sign read 70% . And she said I could not buy it"

"Closed the store at 8pm when it's supposed to be 10. I came in 10 mins before since they were suppose to be open till 10. They told me we r about to close, i said yall r supposed to be open till 10, all she said was well we r closing early and walked away. Then i heard the two girls up front talking and the one who was just talking to me told her coworker "i told her" with sarcasm since i was still looking for what i came in for and wasn't rushing since again it was suppose to be open till 10. And according to these reviews, it happens alot. Corporate needs to do something"
