"Fantastic trail full of all kinds of wonderful things to see! We chose the yellow trail as it’s only a mile. Very lovely and easy for all of us. Do beware of the little plants that can attach to your skin/clothing. They can be painful."
"This peaceful place is filled with herons, cormorants, eagles, ospreys and more. You'll even catch a gator or two sunning itself in the shallows. It can be a bit brutal in the mid- and late-day Florida sun so make this an early stop."
"We saw four alligators in the water here plus some tracks. We went early in the morning and were there shortly after dawn. The rabbits in the island look sick to me. Maybe there are too many of them so they don't get enough to eat. There are lizards in quite a few places. Watch them and sooner or later you will see their red throats."
"Still to hot for Wildlife, and bushes and grass are at peak height. Give it another month or month and a half. Otherwise, if you like walking or biking, it's well maintained and marked. Beautiful preserve, can't wait for cooler weather. I am writing this on oct 14th of 20"
"Great little preserve, though didn't see any alligators... Multiple trails for walking & biking... Saw few birds (ibises, anhingas, herons), lots of rabbits, butterflies & dragonflies... Talking to some other folks I understand the time to visit is sunrise or sunset, so next time... Cool signs around the preserve telling you about the wildlife... Bring the family for a hike or ride!"
