"st. vincent on san jose is easily the best thrift in jax. always 25%-75% off colored tags, the best staff (charity is my girl, she’s awesome), very organized and neat. 99¢ racks, items for every holiday, and the cheapest clothes (even before discounts). please check them out, they’re amazing!!"
"In an old Sav-a-Lot is a spacious thrift store with clothes and shoes of all sizes, housewares, and furniture. Good prices and well kept building right next to Ace Hardware."
"First time coming here…This was probably one of the worst experiences at a store I’ve ever had… and this is a thrift store…. I’m gonna start with this….The lack of compassion, kindness and curtesy for another human being was actually traumatic. We walked in 20 mins before closing. Literally knowing that we were only going to be in there for a quick 10 min run in. Charity was extremely aggressive. Yelled at the top of her lungs 4 different times in the 10 minutes we were there. MY MOTHER & I.. were the only 2 customers in the building. And she did it just a few feet away from us each time. The 3rd time I was next to her and said mam are you okay, are you having a bad day? & she got even more aggressive & abrupt . I chose to respond kindly and we took our carts and walked to the front. She then proceeds to meet us at the cash out area even tho someone else was already helping us just to cause more chaos & tension. Then yelled for the 4th time at my mother that the store was closing. Then she proceeded to follow us to the front of the building and insert herself into the conversation we were having with the MOD. Interrupted us multiple times trying to push carts around and then locks the front door before we even exited. The MOD herself didn’t seem to give any care about how we were spoken to or treated, & also said that is how everyday looks there and that’s their normal. First time there. Won’t be returning To add everything was extremely dusty, and most things I picked up were extremely over priced. FURNITURE used & damaged was in the $600+. lamps that were old, out of date & worn/damaged that didn’t even work were $15+. Small scuffed vases in the $10 range and small picture frames that were also damaged in the $5-$10 range … We left feeling completely attacked & harassed. If this is y’all’s norm. This is not okay. It’s 2024 we should all be spreading kindness, and compassion . You never know what someone is going through.. that’s why I genuinely and softly asked Charity if she was okay and if she was having a bad day… because if so let’s talk about it because I have bad days too, we’re all human. The only way we’re going to fix this broken world together is by spreading kindness and compassion with others in our community. We have to make this world a better place together. I don’t normally leave reviews but this experience shook us to our core and we have to do better as humans."
"Clothing was a good price, bought 2 shirts for under $8. Non-clothing seemed overpriced, example Christmas lights were over priced at $10"
"Very nice charity to donate to. The staff/ volunteers are very sweet and so helpful. I bought an original oil painting in a beautiful frame and a cute chair (see pics). Found several appetizer serving dishes and a copper muffin sheet. This thrift store ranks miles above the rest of them!"
