"***Edit in reply to owner’s comment on this review. Yes you might be using the same recipe, flavor is still there. However the way you prepare them is different as texture is 100% different. I know for a fact you are no longer steam proofing them, but are boiling them instead. I like a good boiled New York Bagel. Your bagels don’t even have the same texture as a NY bagel. It’s like they have been sitting out all day and have gotten stale. Plus in regards to I don’t like your vibe. I never said anything about your vibe or how the restaurant now looks. What I did say is the service aspect is gone and it 100% is. I used to love coming in here and the girls would bring me my food, we would chat and it was a personal-able experience. That is gone!! Now I go in and I’m completely ignored. I went in one time and the employees were all gathered together and ignoring customers. I felt like I was bothering them just to order my food. If that’s your vibe, the vibe of lack of customer service, then you can keep it. I’m done. I have been a longtime customer of Bagelheads and have always enjoyed everything on the menu. Since the renovation, the bagels have not been same. They are dry and almost stale like. The service aspect is gone as well. I have given this place several tries, thinking maybe they are just having an off day, but every time has been consistently bad. This is definitely not the same restaurant Rob had started and perfected. It’s now something completely different and not worth going to anymore."

"Went to BagelHeads for a smash tournament and had the most fire bagel sandwich. I would definitely recommend the Chicken Salad Sandwich with an Asiago bagel. Absolutely loved it and it ismy go-to every time I go. Also their Raspberry Lemonade cake-thing is AMAZING. They ran out the most recent time I went and got the chocolate tuxedo-bomb instead which was phenomenal. Very smooth and well layered!"

"Went there this morning for a coworker meeting (today Friday at around 8am) and I must say this is the BEST BREAKFAST AND BAGEL SANDWICH I HAVE EVER HAD!! The super bacon club was so filling, I had to take the other half for my lunch at my job! So the price for me is on point! Also the complimentary fudge chocolate cake was spot on how I like fudge cake!! Thank you!!! The potato salad, the best I’ve ever had! The view of the water! Thank you! The smiling, friendly customer service! Thank you! The clean bathroom and quiet lobby with the sun shining through the glass window and the water giving off its breeze every time the door opens! Absolutely thank YOU! I honestly felt like I was in a little piece of heaven for the whole hour I was there! I definitely will come again and again! It hasn’t been a whole 24hrs, and I’ve already made arrangements to go there tomorrow morning to treat my mom!! Keep up the great work, guys!!!"

"We were so excited to try this place for lunch. The dining area was clean and spacious. The food was looked amazing when it arrived. We ordered the kids grilled cheese - $8.00. Which was expensive for just a bagel with cheese that was hardly melted. There was not a side included. Super bacon club and Asiago a-go-go were the other sandwiches we ordered. By the time we were there (12:30) they were out of the correct bagels to go with these sandwiches. Which was fine. We both ended up with the cheddar bagels. Our child took one bite of her grill cheese and could barely get through the toasted bottom bun due to it being so hard.. but she made it. Before her next bite she found a long hair inside her sandwich and wrapped around the top. I took the sandwich up to the counter. Told the girl that there was a hair in it. She just stared at me like I was crazy. “Okay, I can get you another one I guess and walked away”. To say my jaw dropped is to down play the situation. We ended up leaving. If that’s how they treat customers, we want no part of that. We will never return."
