"The Point was on point with their food. I ate at the outdoor bar where the bartender handled a full house like a boss. I had Gulf Shrimp grilled with lemon pepper and my date had Gulf Shrimp, blackened. Both were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Two golden hush puppies and crispy fries were also perfectly enjoyable with a nice crunch. Coleslaw accompanied the dish, was good, but a little soupy. And topping off my meal was a rummy Hurricane Sally on the rocks. I will be returning! I returned for fried flounder and fries. Still awesome... and a few pics this time. Months later I ordered the Crab and Shrimp Bisque. WOW! This is a whole new category to the She Crab Soup theme. So delicious!"

"My husband and I just found this local favorite while we were in Perdido Key. I was so happy with this new find that we came back a second time during our trip. My husband got a fish Po boy both times, first time with Mahi Mahi and the second time with Red Snapper. Both sandwiches were generously sized, and looked pretty great to me. The first time he ordered the Coleslaw as a side, but it didnt seem to be quite to his liking. The first visit I ordered the Mulllet fingers, with a cup of gumbo, and a baked potato. Hands down, the best thing was the gumbo! I keep trying gumbo when we vacation in the south and thus far I haven't been able to figure what all the hype is about, but this gumbo is worth coming back for! The flavor was great, and it's so thick you almost need a fork. They say their gumbo is different from what is typical - well yea, their's is good! I enjoyed the mullet as well. As for the potato - I was kicking myself for not ordering the grits. The second time, I ordered the crab cakes with the cheesy grits. This time the cheesy grits were my favorite. I'm glad the serving of grits was generous. The crab cakes were good, but next time I think I'll have to try a PO boy, or the mullet fingers again. The hush puppies that come with the dinner platters are also very good. We'll be back next year, preferably on a Friday night, when there's the added bonus of listening to live Bluegrass music."

"The Point is a long time favorite (eaten here for over a decade). The inside is like stepping into a time machine taking you back a few decades to wood paneling and mounted marlins on the wall — everything an old school seafood joint should be! The food itself is really well done! The tuna dip is a must! The gumbo is different from New Orleans style, but VERY good. Highly recommend those items. The fried ship were good. I love that they have a baked potato as a side item. The blackened fresh catch was also really good. Everyone in our group remarked that the price was reasonable and food really good. It was again a really fun and pleasant experience."

"Cute hole in the wall spot! I ordered a combo with gulf shrimp and fried catfish. Next time I would opt for all grilled because I didn't care for the fried catfish "tenders". The hush puppies, coleslaw and grilled gulf shrimp were a hit! The gator nuggets were great as well. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely visit again!"

"Excellent experience! Very busy Friday night, but we were seated promptly. Our server was friendly, explaining the menu to us with several specials. We chose Gulf Shrimp and Mullet. Sides were a delicious side salad with honey lime vinaigrette. We also had new potatoes, onion rings and fries. Hushpuppies were really good! Definitely worth a trip!"
