"Edit 9/19/23: STORE is CLOSED permanently!! Only donation part is open. P.S. Donation clerk is ridiculous trying to tell me that the nearest store is a mile down the road IN NOKOMIS...uh, ok, fella! Nokomis is 7.2 miles away - not actually even in Sarasota. Then tries to argue with me about it. Good will? Not hardly. .......... No employees wearing masks! -Guess public health isn't a concern for them.... Plus, this is a *tiny* store, with awful selection - used to be a Goodwill 'outlet' (imagine how bad items are to be on clearance at Goodwill!), and still has that depressing feel and selection. Almost no donated household items here but now inserts cheapie (Dollar Store quality) 'new' items mixed in for exorbitant prices (ie plastic food storage set of 3 for $11 - better quality/quantity at Ross / Homegoods for same or less $). Also saw subpar quality 'new' men's & women's clothing mixed in with the donations. The Osprey store is MUCH better; and SR 70 store is the holy grail, haha!"
"April 9th at 1 pm I was at this store on 41 in sarasota. An employee ask me of I had a mask. I said no. She ask why. I said I can't wear 1. This same employee demanded to know my medical reason why I can't wear 1. She violated my privacy by asking me this question. This same woman yells at the employee behind the register to grab a mask. the woman at the register open a package of cloth masks and touches the part that goes over the mouth without washing her hands and hands it to another employee who's hands were sanitized either. They demanded that I put on the contaminated mask on or leave the store. I will never step foot in another goodwill store if customers will be treated like this"
"Let me start by mentioning is is one of Goodwill's smaller retail stores which might be appealing to those who don't enjoy the larger stores. I personally love them all! That being said, this visit revealed a neat & tidy store. The employees were busy with their tasks but attentive to the front desk when needed. Pleasant & accommodating. They helped a lady get some items that had just arrived that she wanted to purchace. Mad her happy...she was collecting all the plastic bins! Also, the prices were very reasonable! Check it out!"
"A good selection of things, not as large as the other stores but quieter lower key and a staff who are friendly when you come in. Like all Goodwills you will always come out with something but also like all Goodwill's it's potluck and best to go there when you're looking for nothing in particular. I'm not sure, but I imagine they got their clothes from Venice and other well-off communities which explains why so much of their clothes are brand names and high-end."
