Goodwill
About the Business
Goodwill is a store located at 3520 Southwest 34th Street in Gainesville, Florida, United States. This institution is dedicated to removing barriers to employment through training, education, and career opportunities for the communities they serve. With a foundation built on the belief that everybody deserves access to opportunity, Goodwill Industries of North Florida has been creating a stronger community for over 80 years.
By placing individuals from all walks of life into employment opportunities in fourteen counties, Goodwill is making a difference in the lives of many. They turn donated goods into job training and placement services, envisioning a future where work creates equitable access to life-sustaining wages and secure housing.
Through the generosity of donors and shoppers, Goodwill is able to fund training and placement opportunities through their GoodCareers Centers and GoodwillTemps programs. Ninety-one cents of every dollar earned goes directly into their mission of providing individuals with job training and placement services, connecting them with meaningful employment.
At Goodwill, there is more than just the store - there are thousands of people in the community who have been helped by their job training and employment services. Visit Goodwill in Gainesville to support their mission and watch personal success stories unfold.

"This is a pretty nice goodwill location, I got a few Nike shirts and a Lululemon swiftly. The prices here are higher than the previous goodwills I have visited. I did 9 items for 50$ though so it’s still a good deal."
"One of the better SE USA Goodwill retail outlets. Very organized, loaded with merchandise, very well maintained. Some aisles are a little tough in the chair, but help is always available. Staffed with professional level personnel throughout. The front end or checkout of this Goodwill is remarkable for a number of reasons. The most outstanding of these reasons is an associate named Ms. Dana. The patience, kindness, compassion, and professionalism this particular associate shows, is a clear indication of the level of professionals this Goodwill employs. I've been in line and watched her at work. I've been through the checkout there on several occasions and she is always kind, even to the customers who aren't. A customer ahead of me in line was fussing, she fussed the whole way out the front door, you would expect negative comments soon after they had walked out. The door hadn't quite finished closing and when those comments began, Ms Dana made an amazingly positive forgiving comment. Her simple positive acceptance immediately changed the tone of that commentary. Bringing smiles to both the other customers and her coworker. The ablity to have someone be ugly to you at work, and turn it around for the other customers and your co-workers? We all saw what happened, we all heard what was said. The strength of character to make it in to a positive forgiving moment, was absolutely astonishing to witness. Look for the sale tags for the best bargains! Kudos to GNV Goodwill 34th!"
"After many years of spending a lot of money at this location, I really doubt I’ll ever be back. I have had it with the ride attitudes of the employees. You cannot ask a simple question or wait in line for 20 minutes without being talked to like a dog by the cashier. Shamika was very friendly and animated with a coworker, then continues to check customers and give major attitude while checking her phone anc making people wait. It’s every time. She is making them lose business and I’m not sure why it’s tolerated when so many people need jobs."
"This particular location is very run down. It reminds me of a last chance Goodwill. Clothes are hung up but everything else is thrown about. There is no designated power plug to test electric items. It's dirty and poorly put together. I will not visit this location again. Hopefully other Gainesville locations are better."
"If you plan on donating and shop after - do yourself a favor and just pull up to drop off your items don’t do what I did and find parking (to shop) then walk allll the wayyyy to the back with your stuff lol. Stupid. Good service otherwise. Also can tell the store manager takes pride on the store cleanliness. I feel like there’s definitely good finds here as a lot of people are too lazy to drop off their stuff at Plato’s Closet but also Plato’s Closet doesn’t take a lot of good stuff either so Goodwill is definitely a steal! Especially this location as it’s a lot 18-35 year old kind of fashion. Also not super rip off like Plato’s Closet so that’s nice!"
