"For starters, other reviews have been very correct, this a beautiful hotel with a great ambience and even better location. The front desk and staff have also been very friendly. However, the small issues continue to stack up and I can agree with a lot of the complaints I've read here. First, we have not received a cleaning service yet. By the time 4:30PM rolled around, our room was not cleaned until we had to reject the service when our door was knocked on at 4:45PM. Much too late to have a room cleaned during the countless hours of daytime available. Next, we have found coffee stains (hopefully) on the pillow cases and the robes that were offered. Although, the robes didn't come with the waist ties and also had stains on them...small thing, but for price of stay, you hope to see everything properly prepped. On top of this, the main light attached to the ceiling fan flickers on and off without turning it on... but also flickered on and off while on. Finally, the owner who answers all these reviews says they've made necessary changes to the more negative reviews.... I just haven't seen them made yet. Staying at Esmé feels like the ups and downs of a Rollercoaster that you just want to be great, but overall just doesn't live up to expectations. For the price it costs to stay and 4 star status, we just expect more from the place and don't really recommend."

"Stayed here a few times and love it very much! Location is perfect and it really feels like a boutique hotel. Only point of critique for me would be the lacking service of providing specifications of a bill that I didn’t recognize while checking out. I paid and was suppose to receive an email with the exact specifications. I then had to email twice to receive the same bill again. After that I never got a reply anymore. If the service was a bit better after the stay it would make me want to come back for a third stay a bit more."

"Nothing but positives to say! We had change in travel plans and the front desk gentleman was beyond kind and helpful to help us update our reservation at the very last minute. We checked in a few hours early the following day expecting to just have our bags held so we could explore, but Victor at the front desk found us a comparable room to what we booked and got us set up immediately. To top it off, we were greeted in our room with a bottle of Prosecco after arriving back from the beach. Complementary beach chairs and towels, a nice lounge and pool area on the 3rd floor, and the location is right in the heart of South Beach. Restaurants, shops, the beach are all right out the door. The decor and vibe is vintage Miami to the core."
