"Meh, its ok. I'd say this is definitely on the lower end of what the Hampton Inn chain has offered me during my years of traveling. It's had a light remodel in the last decade, but my room had the ultra white/blue led bulbs instead of the 2800k-3000k variety, so at night that's not relaxing at all. The tap water smells awful at the sink or shower, which means so does the "juice" from the juice machine. Maybe that's a municipal water thing. Oh and there was a TRAIN going by at midnight and 7am"
"I specifically asked Jessica (general manager) for a crib while driving down. She said she will take a note. I have I’m driving from Miami with a baby and I have to make frequent stops to change him, to let him stretch, to breastfeed. We arrived at 9pm checked the beds full of hair. We switched rooms one of the beds was changed and the other was not changed and full of hair. Lift up the sheets of the clean bed and the mattress protector was so disgusting. My mother who came with me a microbiologist was in shock. Now my 4 month old has to sleep in the stroller and while we complain it was 10:55pm and Walmart in saint Augustine closes at 11pm. Because we would have bought a crib if we knew. Sachell was very helpful poor lady was the only one there. Pictures you can see someone lie down and the other you can see the wrinkles of it being unfolded and clean I had to leave and went to the holiday inn next door and was super clean!!!!!!! Super clean!! Completely different!! You can feel it!! Mind you I have stayed at old hotels that smelled funky but because they were old but they were spotless and clean!!!! Make sure to lift the covers!!! Lift the sheets! You will see !! Mind you I have stayed in tents and other countries the filth."
"When walking in, we were greeted by a very nice hotel front desk lady. We were told the fee for parking was $10, which we were not expecting. But, we agreed and continued with our stay. We were shocked to see how out of town this hotel was; if wanting to stay very close to bars/food/etc, there are many different places to choose from. We walked in and the lights were very dim, which overall was fine, just not expecting it. The faucet was super loose in the bathroom when taking a shower, half the lights did not work, and just over all pretty dated. Later on, we were getting ready for bed and we heard very loud screaming. Originally, I thought it was a little kid having a bad time. Upon further inspection, it was a homeless person across the road. The hotel staff were very quick to take action (call the cops). But overall it was a bad experience and I do not recommend staying here, especially with children."
"Great hotel. Location was great. Easy walk to the beach. It was quiet and secured away from the busy beaches. The rooms were comfortable. The beds very comfortable. The breakfast was good. Staff friendly and professional. Definitely recommend and will return."
"Hotel is average and adequate. Room was noisy (street side). The breakfast bar ran out of coffee and I had to go tell the staff, figured they’d monitor something like that. I was charged $10 a day for parking, the staff made no mention of this during check in. I’ll likely look elsewhere on my next trip to St Aug."
