"The room was clean and nice. Property has a great South Beach location, just 5 minutes walk to Ocean Drive and famous beach, though it’s not in the middle of it, and tuck in the safe corner. If you’re looking for a a quiet place to stay, which is away from busy area with all it’s activities, you’ll like this hotel. Reception lady Jennifer was very accommodating with any our needs, and provided excellent service. I would come back to this hotel again."

"The hotel is called Villa Italia, and as an Italian I can say that there is nothing "Italy" about it.The really bad thing about this hotel is that they cheat you when you book your room, they show the "total price" (which means once you pay there is nothing else to pay otherwise it's not total) and after you pay it, once you pay, you get there, you find the surprise, there is an additional resort fee of $60.00 per person. We thought we would spend $296.40 between two (as indicated in the reservation as total price for 2 nights) and instead we spent $416.40, practically 40% more, a steal. An honest owner would show the true total cost, and in case the customer does not show up he would refund the "resort fee" as per their policy.The other problem we had to face was that two rooms shared a single entrance door which slammed loudly every time those in the other room had to enter/exit, furthermore given the lack of soundproofing, noises coming from all the rooms next to and above ours. What a pity, because the location is really good, the beach is close, and all kinds of places to eat and shop are in free trolley distance. The staff is kind, accommodating and helpful, in fact we arrived earlier and could not check in until 3pm, as well as having to leave in the afternoon, we had to check out by 11am, but they agreed to keep our luggage in both the cases."

"Great option to be in a nice area, outside of the busy Miami Beach. Room has a great size, is super clean and everything smell really good and fresh. Great service on the front desk, close to the beach and chair and umbrella service at the beach too. You will need to pay $30 per night/person as a resort fee, it would be great if we could choose which days you actually want to use the beach service and only pay for those days but this is not an option unfortunately. Overall great experience."

"We chose this place to stay based on online reviews and we don’t regret it. The staff was very friendly. They have umbrellas and chairs available at the beach (so you will be saving if you spend the day at the beach). We enjoyed their happy hour at the hotel too, free wine from 5-7 ish. It’s stroller friendly, there’s a ramp and an elevator. The location is great. I also recommend filling up your bottle from the fountain they have at the reception (otherwise we paid 5$ per bottle at a supermarket or 9$ at a restaurant). The only downside was that we had called in advance to make sure they have a crib ready for us, our plane arrived late at night, and the crib wasn’t ready. Our son had to sleep with us in the same bed our entire stay."

"Visited in January and February. Excellent position, close to the beach, with sunbed and towels included, perfect for experiencing the best of Miami Beach. Position is also quite, an very safe. Large, bright and functional room and bathroom. Very kind reception staff, in particular Siana, very good at the checkin to solve a problem with my credit cards that didn't work, and with her suggestions she made me discover amazing places in Miami and Florida."
