"Booked hotel for a couple of nights before a cruise. Location is perfect! Room was a disappointment. Smelled old and moldy. The bathroom is so small the door hardly shuts without hitting the toilet. No water pressure in shower. The hotel is old and needs renovated badly. Glad I wasn’t staying any longer."
"Absolutely not worth the price. Our room was not ready at check in. They had us sit in a common area with stained furniture. It honestly looks like it's never been cleaned. The hallway to our room smelled like sewer and we were on the top floor. The room was so outdated. A wooden door, not metal. The bed worn with zero support. This place is so out of date there is not even a sign on the building to let you know it's a Holiday Inn. Overall, even though it's close to the cruise ships port go somewhere else and get good value for your money. Oh, and one last point. We waited 45 mins on check out day for an empty elevator."
"Holiday Inn is always my go-to hotel. I have been an IHG for more than 20 years so I never even bother to check the reviews anymore. I REALLY wish I had. This was such a disappointment. Hotel is very tired and outdated. Carpets and walls in the hallway and rooms are very dirty. The entire hotel, including the room, smelled of mildew. And very expensive for this kind of facility. There’s not even a sign on the hotel so I couldn’t even find it at first. Staff was great and perfect location. I really like the Holiday Inn so I hope they do a thorough update soon because people will not pay this kind of money for a hotel like this."
"This was without a doubt the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. We stayed here for one night prior to going on a cruise thinking we would go with a more budget friendly option since it was only for one night but it was a mistake, I would have paid double to stay somewhere better. It started from the minute we walked in, Leo at the front desk has to be one of the rudest people in customer service I’ve ever met. We were waiting in line and he refused to acknowledge us and just kept looking down despite us standing right in front of him until finally I just walked up to him and asked if he could help us check in. He was obviously irritated and hated his job, he never once smiled, made eye contact, or used any basic manners. He also did not properly explain the charges on my card and told me only a $50 deposit was being placed and when I looked at my card there were several more charges. They all went away in the end but it’s still concerning that he wasn’t disclosing charges properly. At the end of the interaction he didn’t acknowledge that we were all checked in and that everything was complete so I was just awkwardly standing there and waiting for him to finish and then he says to me “do you want something else or are you going to go to your room?”. I was genuinely shocked by his attitude and the other staff around him didn’t seem much better. The room was also dark and dingy and the bathroom was not fully cleaned. There was hair and stains around the base of the sink and toilet. Truly unacceptable for a 3 star hotel. Spend the money to stay somewhere else, you won’t regret it!"
"I would certainly not recommend this property… I stayed in a room that accommodates five people and I personally slept on the sofa bed which was so uncomfortable that I couldn’t fall asleep if my life depended on it. Also the air conditioner wasn’t working properly either so we had to literally beg for fans to keep cool in the room. The homeless guy that slept on the corner when I was there had way better accommodations than I did. I’m not even kidding you. The mattress on the sofa bed was horrible there were springs popping out of the mattress that almost cut me. I’m an IHG Rewards member and have been since 2012. This is by far the worst property that I have been too and is in some serious need of a remodel there was absolutely no signage outside the building and you couldn’t even tell that it’s a holiday inn… plus the room itself needed some serious love. It’s horrible. Not to mention the restaurant they wanted $4.00 for one egg made to order… like really? I spent well over $400 to stay there for one night and the overall experience I had at this location wasn’t even remotely close to being worth the money I spent. I will certainly not be returning to this property anytime soon!"
