Holiday Inn Express Miami Airport Doral Area, an IHG Hotel

"DATE OF STAY: FEB 2023 Room was clean, staff was pleasant and helpful, breakfast was plentiful and there’s a variety, there’s free coffee in the lobby all day, plus a Keurig in your room. Room was very nice and clean, with all the essentials for my stay. Plenty of towels, comfortable bed, etc. Maid service early and on point. Absolutely no complaints. There are sodas and other beverages available for purchase in the lobby. Also shopping in walking distance— Ross, Marshalls, Panda Express; and Walmart, Sams Club, Office Depot just a short drive down the road. Area is quiet and safe, residents are super nice, stores are very clean. Hotel shuttle was available at the time of my stay (although I missed the shuttle from the airport because I trusted reviews on here that led me to believe it wasn’t operational. Sigh). Shuttle is free and working, and I was able to book it back to the airport. It was all in all a very good experience. Pool could use some cleaning but I never used the pool. Would definitely visit again."

"Rooms are a little out of date but service is great. A short ride about 15 min from Miami airport. They do have free shuttle bus but the last one from MIA ends at 9pm."

"Called from airport for free shuttle but nobody there spoke English so paid $50 for a taxi. Paint peeling in room, cinnamon rolls ar least a day old and orange juice so watered down it had no taste. Other than that, just shabby"

"First room I got smelled like smoke and strong mold, but I was able to switch rooms. Unfortunately I noticed that there was a small cockroach problem (mainly baby roaches, very few adult ones). I asked to change rooms again but it was 11pm and sold out with no other rooms, so I had no choice but to stay there. For the next 2 nights, management offered to change my room, but when I saw the new room, I realized they downgraded me without the courtesy of telling me. The managers refused to give me some sort of credit or compensation for at least the first night. For the next 2 nights they said the only solution was a downgrade to a much smaller room with fewer ameneties and no compensation for the trouble. The supervisor Emily told me that if roaches were such an issue, I should download the IHG app and report it there. I downloaded the app but you can only communicate with the specific hotel management where you booked, so I was back at square one. The adult roaches moved very fast so it was difficult to get pictures. There were more baby roaches crawling on the walls and shower curtain and door frames. The breakfast was very good but they use Styrofoam plates which aren't very eco-friendly, so I hope they will use paper plates soon. The location of the hotel was awesome, close to a pharmacy, some shopping, large grocery store, cinema, and also many restos! If you do not mind a few cockroaches, then this is a great option of a hotel with complimentary airport pickup and complimentary breakfast. The employees like the shuttle driver, breakfast employees, cleaning staff, front desk employees are all very hardworking and sweet, my issue was specifically with management that was making it sound like the cockroaches were not an issue at all, but rather, but I was the issue."

I also appreciated the outdoor setup with comfortable chairs and tables next to the pool, offering a relaxed yet professional setting for conducting business. The ambiance around the pool area provides a refreshing change of scenery for work, blending leisure with professionalism seamlessly."
