Courtyard by Marriott Miami Airport West/Doral

"Close to the airport, good sound proofing so jets flying closely overhead cannot be heard. Small Bistro with a very helpful staff who go out of their way to please even when they are running out of stuff in the evening"

"The people at this hotel (Namely Jonny and Elliott) saved this from a horrendous review. Courtyard usually sets itself apart with hotel upkeep and such. This place is in dire need of a renovation. I had to be moved multiple times because of AC units not working. (Thank you Jonny for working hard to get me a room that worked at 1:30am) The coffee makers spit out debris all the time. If you make hot water for tea you see all the debris. (Elliott got me clean hot water for my tea). I am a loyal Marriott member and I wish they would bring there older hotels up to the standards they set. I personally think the crew that work here deserve better. They do their best to keep up with broken down old stuff. Come on Marriott."

"This has been the worst hotel I have stayed in. When I first arrived at the hotel everything seemed fine but boy did it get worse. When we got to the room the tv was already on and we were unable to turn it off. Then we went to the bathroom and the toilet is not working either. We got both the tv and toilet fixed by the staff and not a pee later the toilet stopped working again and again. The hotel was also extremely dirty and you could visablly see all the dirt that has been collected for years. The front desk staff were absolutely dreadful as you would ask them for help and it would take them two and half business days to respond. We asked for a car to be booked at 530 so we could go out and get dinner and that never happens. So when we asked for a list of restaurants nearby the staff took over a decade to give us the list. wasteful. The breaskfast area by far is the WORST we waited almost thirty minutes to just order our food. I got cereal that was eight dollars yes eight. TERRIBLE SERVICE . There were people asking for refunds because of how long it was taking absolutely dreadful. Overall this place was a robbery with how much they charge a night and i would not recommend to even my worst enemy."

"So the hotel grounds and courtyard are really lovely. They spent a lot of time and care making the common areas and the pool courtyard very beautiful with modern colors, comfortable chairs and dreamy outdoor lights. The time however do not live up to the rest of the resort. Our room (242) had a toilet that did not function well with a seat that was de-laminated…. which is never going to get fully clean. Stains in the tub as well, but the water is hot with god pressure. The rooms are painted a weird butter yellow which is kind of off putting and not matching the rest of the resort. There was almost no decor to the fairly large room. I can also hear the paople above talking. The free airport shuttle WHEN it arrived was very clean and nice. Unfortunately it took over an hour for it to come, all the other drivers looped at least 2-3 times while we waited. put it this way, - they started wanting to us! This was disappointing. The food at the bistro was hot and tasty, prepared by Johnny who was working incredibly hard. i found the prince a bit outlandish- but at least it was good! i was able to stay at a discount on this occasion… but due to the various factors, I don’t think I would recommend and it is definitely not worth rack rate. If they add a second shuttle and update the rooms? Then we’d be talking. Thank you! (oh ps- the beds are super soft and clean- which is a big plus. It’s a mix of good and less good.)"

"One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. It was so bad that this is one of the few times in my life that I’ve taken the time to write a Google Review. First off, our room was near the road so we could constantly hear sirens and car horns, in addition to hearing airplanes fly over every ~10 minutes. The room was extremely outdated and laid out in an odd way. There were insects crawling on the desk and spiders in the bathroom. Our toilet had trouble flushing, and it took 2-3 flushes for everything to go down, pee included. The nearest exit door to our room either didn’t close all the way so anyone could just walk in, or didn’t work when you tried to get in with your room key card. Getting breakfast in the hotel lobby was always a mess. One morning we had cold eggs. Another morning we waited 45 minutes for our 2 breakfast sandwiches, and they gave us free “coffee” as a way of saying sorry for the wait. It was the worst tasting coffee I’ve ever had, I had to throw it away. There were multiple work events going on at the hotel, and it was clear that the hotel was understaffed. Check in and check out took way longer than it should have. Stay elsewhere if you have the option."
