"The front desk staff was pretty unfriendly and not very welcoming. I hate having to pay for parking, especially being Hilton Diamond members. Rooms were OK but somewhat dated. At least they were very clean. Fairly close to the airport (about a 15 minute drive), which is convenient."
"Don't get the breakfast- you can go to Zak the Baker or any number of places and have an amazing breakfast for under $10. Room was fine but the breakfast buffet- be warned! We added the food and beverage credit ($20/day for two people) and breakfast is $17 per person (pre tax) and the service is poor because an 18% gratuity is built in (you're not told that - you just see it on the receipt, where there is also a built-in line for a tip- so if you don't notice the gratuity charge, you may end up tipping twice)! Why should the server bring me more coffee? No incentive. I got it myself. :/ Parking is not $10 a night, but closer to $13 (taxes?). I emailed the manager two days ago about the breakfast situation and have yet to hear back (she wasn't there when we checked out at 9:30AM on a Thursday). Front desk young woman was fantastic and patient. Kudos to her. We were on the second floor- no airplane noise."
"I recently had a stay at Hilton Garden Inn Miami Airport West that left me thoroughly disappointed and compelled to share my experience. Unfortunately, the service I received did not align with the high standards I associate with the Hilton brand. Firstly, I encountered a clogged toilet in my room and was told to fetch a plunger myself since maintenance personnel wouldn’t be available until 8:00 am. This lack of immediate assistance was inconvenient and not in line with the hospitality one expects from a reputed establishment. Additionally, my interaction with the front desk, particularly a staff member named Andres, was far from satisfactory. Andres not only failed to address my concerns about the clogged toilet and my request for a late check-out but also displayed a dismissive and rude attitude, even using a wave of his hand to ignore my attempts to communicate. To exacerbate matters, when I inquired about speaking to the manager on duty, I was informed she wouldn’t be available until 10:30 am, further delaying the resolution of my concerns. As a Hilton Honors member, I anticipated a superior level of service, courtesy, and professionalism, all of which were lacking during this stay. I sincerely hope the management takes these issues seriously and implements corrective measures to uphold the Hilton standard. In the future, I hope to experience the quality service that Hilton is known for and that these concerns are addressed promptly."
"The place is clean and room rates are reasonable for the area. My only issue is that parking cost nearly $12 a night and they don't mention that anywhere on the Hilton app or website that we saw. It's not a big deal but it's rather annoying when it comes at you unknown after traveling all day. I've been a Hilton honors member for a few years and this is the first time I have ever had to pay for parking, Even when staying in downtown STL by the arch, parking was validated. Update after staying the night: When staying at a hotel by the airport, one should expect to hear planes. It comes with the territory and we fully did expect that. But what we didn't expect was to be right in the landing path of one of Miami's most busy runways. While this is great for plane watching, it can be hell trying to sleep if you are an early to bed person. Water pressure from the bathroom sink and shower is very lacking. I assume they are trying to save water but I have stayed at hotels in California during the major droughts and even with their water saving measures the water pressure was better controlled than this place. It also doesn't help that the shower water temperature isn't regulated. Meaning if somebody in a room near you flushes the toilet, your shower water gets scalding hot. So if you are expecting to take a nice long relaxing shower after a day of travels, don't. House cleaning arrived very early, knocked softly and attempted to open the door while the lady and I were still getting ready for the day. That wasn't be very cool of them at all. We have one more stay at this same place for later in the week. Hopefully they is a better stay."
