"When we did stay there, it wasn’t a great experience. Neither the rooms nor the restaurant nor the staff. Now most of the hotel is washed away, but the one building seems to be in good shape. The grounds are all in construction or very bare. I cannot recommend it. There are other places open on the island."

"Came here for a mommy get away. The rooms are very welcoming, full kitchen. There was even a towel animal on the bed. It is right on the beach. We had fun, shelling. They have bikes you can rent."

"Island Inn is 5 star all the way! After Ian hit last year the cottage we rented was completely destroyed. We did not think we would be visiting Sanibel for a few years. However, I was on line and found Island Inn's web that said it was open so I took a look and glad I did. Their web page shows in detail what to expect if you stay there and it is GREAT! Rooms were perfect for us and most important extremely clean! They also offer housekeeping everyday if you wish. The staff was the Best! they bent over backwards to make sure our stay was the best. We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival, so much so we booked 2024 before we headed back to North Carolina! Still a great deal of rebuild to be done on the island but if you are looking for a Great place to stay Island Inn is it! We also had a screened in porch! fantastic view of the Gulf and about a 30 second walk to the beach! You won't be disappointed if you stay here. Don't want to rush my life away but can't wait for next years stay! Tony OBX NC"

"Amazing in every way!! Island Inn has been beautifully renovated! The staff is very attentive. A special shoutout to John who worked in the record heat putting up and taking down umbrellas. Every request made to the staff was taken care of ASAP. WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!!!!! Everything was so easy to do, from making reservations, calling with questions, having phone calls returned, checking in and checking out. Thank you Island Inn, local businesses and restaurants, and ALL “islanders” native or guest for such a great experience!"
