"I took my 2.5 year dog there on Thursday due to both his back legs not moving. We had been refereed to them by our vet. I went to the emergency room the day before then my vet. My pup had already been through a lot. When we got there they said they were going to calm him down as he was panting a bit and they wanted to talk to us to see what was going on. He was already under pain meds prescribed by the doctor, the day before, so he wasn’t feeling anything that made him in pain, he was just anxious. After they took him, they put my fiancé and me in an exam room and Dr. Christine Senneca came out, she was the neurologist and told us that Gray was getting very worked up so they put him on oxygen to calm him down. She then explained the feel test, he only had little sensitivity on his fourth digit on one of his back paws. With that said, she gave us two options, to either do surgery right away, because more likely,he was suffering from IVDD, a common condition that Frenchies have, or to put him down right away! She never once gave us the option of first doing an MRI,to find out what was going on with him, or another middle option where we could take our dog back, then decide if putting him down was the best option. She also said she had three dogs in line waiting to go next, but mine was the worst case and I needed to make a decision now. Who does that?! This is my baby boy, he is still very young, there are endless possibilities AND SHE GAVE NON, it just seemed like all she wanted to do was the surgery which it runs anywhere from $12k-15K without even having a diagnosis. I felt rushed, I was crying, I need it more time and she said that I needed to decide then. It was heartbreaking. I asked for more time, and stepped away. They had him in the back, I spoke with my brother, who had a similar case happened to his dog and then my vet. He told me what treatment he did and then I decided that I was going to do soy in him, I ask for them to give him steroids, and the pain meds that the doctor had prescribe the day prior.I told Dr. Christine Senneca the decision I made, she was against it, and didn’t understand why I had called my vet. I said it was what I wanted, and I was going to make my dog as comfortable as I could. Finally agreed and said that she was going to prescribe the steroids, and other pain meds but was very hesitant to do it. I was shocked, that they never even offer me that option and I as a patient who-knows nothing about dogs, gave it to her. For her, was all about cutting into a dog, making a quick $ and taking advantage of someone’s emotional state. I would never recommend you taking your dog here. How she treated my baby was absolutely inhumane! Your dog it’s just another quota for them to fill. To make things worst, the day after, I received the report from the same doctor, where she emphasized that the dog needed surgery right away, without even having done an MRI to prove any of that. She repeatedly said that if the dog didn’t feel well in the next few days with the treatment she had sent him (which again was the Option I gave her not her to me)the best thing would be to euthanize him! I’ve been speaking with several other doctors, and a specialist from the UF Pet hospital and my dog has actually been improving and showing some signs of movement on his back legs. Yesterday he stood and walked by himself for a good 5 minutes. I’ve also spoken to several Frenchie owners, that have told me that other dogs that had gone through that, with steroids, and the gabapentin pain medication after a month or so, the dog was able to fully recover. We’re still definitely considering the surgery, but Please, don’t ever take your pet there Specially, to see this doctor. PS : Below pic of my dog today happy and now walking a bit."
"I recently had to bring my beloved Dogo Argentino Naevia to SEVN for a surgery, and I cannot express enough how grateful my family and I are for their exceptional care. Our dog suffered a severe impact injury from her sister, which left her with a loss of control in her back left leg and seemingly paralyzed. It was an incredibly frightening and dark time for us. However, the moment we arrived at SEVN, our fears were immediately put at ease. The doctor wasted no time in administering an MRI and determined that surgery was necessary. What amazed us was that they were able to operate on the same day, ensuring that our dog received the urgent care she needed. The staff at SEVN were not only highly skilled and knowledgeable, but also incredibly compassionate and understanding. They took the time to explain the entire process to us, answering all of our questions and addressing our concerns. Their professionalism and genuine care for our dog's well-being truly made a difference during this difficult time. After the surgery, we were able to retrieve Naevia just 24 hours later, and the difference was already remarkable. Our baby girl was strong and able to walk on all four paws again. It was a true testament to the expertise and dedication of the entire team at SEVN. Two weeks have passed since the surgery, and she is back to her energetic and happy self. We cannot thank SEVN enough for their exceptional care and for giving our dog a second chance at a happy and healthy life. We wholeheartedly recommend SEVN to anyone in need of veterinary care. Their expertise, compassion, and commitment to their patients are truly unmatched."
"What a wonderful, caring organization this is. Our dog Oatie suffered a ruptured disc and was paralyzed from the waist down. We brought him to SEVN with grave concerns about his condition. We are now thrilled to have him walking again. Dr. Senneca’s surgery went perfectly and we had no post-op complications. Beyond that, Dr. Senneca spent a lot of time with us, patiently explaining what was going to happen, helping us support his recovery, and assisting with our questions and concerns. I cannot emphasize enough how grateful we are to everyone at SEVN Jupiter and Boynton Beach. If your beloved pet has a spinal emergency, this is the place to go."
"Everyone at SEVN was so incredibly kind and helpful. On Friday, my French Bulldog, Tuna, started losing function in his back legs. I rushed him to the closest emergency vet and we called every veterinary neurologist in the area. Dr. Senneca was willing to see Tuna immediately for an MRI and when she discovered he had a herniated disk, she performed surgery the same night. I am so grateful to everyone at SEVN that night for the amazing care they provided to Tuna and support they provided for me. He is now home and doing amazing in his recovery. The care and compassion provided by the staff at this facility is unmatched. Thank you for saving my best friend. Dr. Senneca, Kristina, Samantha, Alyssa, Meagan and everyone that stayed late on Friday night to perform Tuna's surgery on such short notice"
"My 5 year old Dachshund suddenly couldn’t move his back legs. My vet recommended SEVN and I rushed Jasper down there the next day. Everyone was so caring and understanding. Dr Senneca repaired a ruptured disc. She was amazing. Her stitches looked like they were done by a sewing machine. Perfect stitching. They treated my sweet boy like he was theirs. I highly recommend SEVN and Dr Senneca. It will put your mind at ease. Jasper is almost 3 weeks post surgery and is walking. Keeping him quiet for the next 8 weeks will be the biggest challenge. Thank you! Gail Harrah"
