Tortilleria La Mexicana

"Actually I was surprised about this place. The previous Friday I was craving tacos IN ANOTHER PLACE and was quite disappointed, I saw this place and I decided to give it a try since I was still craving tacos. Going trough the door you can see the Mexican style but not the overwhelming decoration of piñatas and paper skulls like many typical places, Clean and the bar on the side well organized, not loud regional music but maybe because was lunch. TACOS...asked 5 different because I didn't know the place but I should asked 4 and DEFINITELY I'll be back to try something different again, if the tacos were good probably the rest might be also good. I forgot to ask if they have live music, just curious because I prefer a nice meal and conversation."

"I enjoyed the people and the food and I will be returning to try other meals on the menu. The place is really really clean. The Waitresses were really nice and helpful. My tacos were great but I would have liked a larger portion of the rice and beans."

"THIS PLACE IS LIFE!!! I get the chicken nachos but modified. Instead of a bed of chips at the bottom I get a bed of rice and then get the chips on the side. When u get home u have no soggy chips and the rice adds a sense of authenticity to it. It comes with crumbled cheese, melted cheese, chicken, beans, sour scream, lettuce, and pico de Gallo, however I get monies the vegetables. It is sooooo good and the chips are so authentic! The staff is authentically Mexican to the point where when I called them to compliment them on their food she couldn’t understand me, hehe. If you only speak English like I do you can request for them to get someone who speaks English to take your order or just try the best u can with the language barrier. Either way you will leave happy and be full and satisfied! I love this place so much! Such an undiscovered little gem right here in Sanford! Wish I could give 6 stars!"

"The food was good, but we ordered online and they didn't have our order when we got there. The waitress wasn't particularly helpful in correcting this error and didn't offer us anything while we waited. My mom's friend beefsteak was delicious to me, but she felt it was overcooked. My flautas were tasty but they piled the salad on top of it in the to go container and so they were soggy by the time I got home and could eat them. This place is probably better when you eat in, but I doubt we'll get takeout from them again."
