"Very bad day at the doctors office, but this has been happening more frequently and frequently. Had an appointment to see Andrew Tagle at 1 o’clock and arrived on time. I checked in and then I sat there until 1:45 . I watched everyone else go ahead of me. I knew that Stephanie was Mr. Tagle‘s nurse so spoke with her about my appointment , she said your next. 15 minutes later, she came out to the lobby and called another patient’s name. I stood up and she looked at me said oh , I can take you now. . At that point I knew that if she took me into an examination room, I would be sitting there for another 30 minutes. This is because I was there for my annual wellness check up. I have not been sick. I have no medical issues it’s a wellness check up that takes a little bit of time and it doesn’t pay a whole lot of reimbursement through the insurance company. The office was putting other people in ahead of me for their payroll and their payroll only. ( They did the same thing to My Husband for his annual check up in October. However, the weight wasn’t an hour long. It was like in half hour. However, we sat in the Examination room for a half hour before we seen his P.A. Mr. Tagle ) at this point, I spoke with the management ( Joseph) and they were going to give me another physician, when the administrator went to check my appointment I had already been canceled off the books. Wake up people, they don’t care about us . All they care about is being reimbursed . Joseph he did apologize to me and said the office could have let me know that the dr was running behind or something. However, that wasn’t the case because they took patients that had much later appointments than I did. Most patients only waited for 5 to 10 minutes. I watched them!!! I want an apology from Mr. Tagle. I know I will not get it and I don’t matter to them at all simply because I don’t need any care, only once a year check up. I will be canceling my services with this company. I do not want to be involved in that Office ever again. I will drive to North Tampa where ever I have to, to find another primary care physician. And it will not be with AdventHealth either."
"The doctors are great, but I can never get in same-day when needed. I've had to alternatively go to Minute Clinic, which cost $200 out-of-pocket, as well as miss an opportunity to take medication that would've helped because they couldn't get me in within the required time frame. I NEVER had this problem until Advent took over. I've been a patient here since the place was built and Advent has been the worst thing to happen here. They're awful. How hard would it be to put more than one doctor on a Saturday- a day when most of the working world is able to come in any time of the day, especially in the height of flu season?? Or how about leaving a few appointments open so that same-day needs don't have to go elsewhere? Seems like the only point of a primary dr. is for your annual check up. Outside of that, the likelihood that you will see your primary doc is slim. Additionally, I have also experienced treatment from the front desk staff that made me feel like I was inconveniencing them to have to check me in. They were NOT pleasant, and made me feel unwelcome. Not all the front desk staff have been like that, but more times than not, it has been an unwelcoming experience. The only saving grace are the doctors and staff (except front desk). I have generally had a positive experience and good treatment from all them."
"I scheduled annual wellness exam which is covered 100% by my insurance, I drove 45 min just to find out that they are charging me $250 upfront for the visit! When I talked with scheduling person, she assured my insurance is accepted so how come I had to pay such money for routine check up when I have no health issues? Also they can not guarantee that visit like that will be a wellness exam, it can be clinical visit if they see some high blood pressure or other things they can code as health issue and of course your free of cost visit is not free anymore. Shady practice, I am looking for more patient friendly doctors who don't try to reap you for anything they can!"
"I've been going to this location before it became AdventHealth. I have no issues with any staff or the Doctor's they have been Great. They have always taken my insurance there. The only issue I have is the new imaging center they have there. I had an xray and a mammogram done there a few month's ago. I was told that my insurance is accepted there but the thing is that when they sent my report out to be read that person was not in network with my insurance company. I am now stuck with 2 bills to pay. When I called the billing department she said I should vefiry that they are in Network. How am I supposed to know a random person who is reading the report is going to be in network or not. The AdventHealth website says my insurance is accepted the two people I talked to there said they take my insurance. I just want you all to be aware that whomever reads your report may not be in network and be stuck with a bill."
"IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR LIFE, DON’T GO HERE! This isn’t a joke. I have a very abnormal blood screening from the hospital. I have been to the emergency room twice in two days because this place has no available appointments for 3 weeks. Brandon regional is amazing btw. The hospital has said two times that the only place that can help is my primary physician. I have called 10 times asking for help! The nurse called and laughing told me the next available appointment is 3 weeks away. I asked her name she refuses to give her name and honestly really awful on the phone. WHAT WOULD YOU DO? I also have a 5 star review from 7 months ago. Completely different staff these are not the same great people!!"
