HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital

"How could this hospital possibly stay in operation?! It's filthy, impossible to navigate, and there is a reason they are short staffed. I wouldn't want to work here either. There was even a travel physician complaining about a lot of the same things in the hallway to someone at the hospital. I understand a busy ER, I know there are tests and procedures. What I don't know is how my husband is going on his 3rd day and they STILL don't have his regular medications ordered. No communication and very poor charting. The unprofessionalism is unreal. There was a family that pulled there mother last night, a patient who left AMA, and I'm in the process now of getting my husband transferred. I've submitted my concerns along to the state along with photos of the state of the facilities. Hopefully other people escalate their issues as well so something is corrected here."

"If I were able to give 0 stars, I sincerely would. This hospital has extremely disrespectful and unempathetic ICU staff. They did not notify family of any changes to loved one. They did not educate family on any procedures they made. They did as they pleased with no regards to family. They were extremely rude when they made decisions for family without their consent or consideration. They claimed death over the loved one before they considered a positive outcome. I’ve never been in a hospital with this work ethic. To say the hospital lacked empathy, kindness, and compassion is an understatement. This ICU needs better staff, or more families will suffer. God bless this hospital and may God fill their hearts to guide them to better understanding and choices as practitioners."

"Nurses and staff were very nice when my sister was moved to ICU. But at some point, all her jewelry, clothes and shoes were removed and were lost. No one could find them! My mothers ring is gone forever. My sister passed away and all her items have never been found. We were devastated with the loss of my sister. I cannot believe the hospital can be this irresponsible. Its heartbreaking we will never have these items of hers to pass down to her family."

"Mi wife was at the cardiac recovery unit and it was great... The staff was incredible... They treated me as well as they did my wife... Paulina was my wife's nurse after the procedure and we could not have asked for better care, she was very sweet and very careful moving my wife around and also very considerate..."

"I've got nothing but great respect and appreciation for several departments, and the hospital in general. I've been here quite a few times since February of this year for things ranging from many saltwater fishing experiences, COVID, our son catching a nasty viral infection on his birthday, to my present situation of my wife having a stroke this last week. The staff have been sincerely helpful, understanding, and patient. The hospital has been on the ball in every aspect of caring for her and ensuring a comfortable and supportive environment for my wife and myself the entire time. They get one hundred and eleven stars out of ten in my book. Thank you all for the awesome professionalism and such a nurturing environment at such a scary time in our lives. You have set a phenomenal standard that should serve as a guide. PS. Above and beyond in every way, has this staff been for our entire stay, not a thing negative do I have to say, her health, her recovery, her state of mind, and her well-being, their only goal and it showed with every action from our very first day, so thanks for helping my wife with restoring a smile to her face and means to return to a regular life. That's irreplaceable and priceless, so I appreciate you all for being amazing."
