"We dined at RJ's New England Seafood Restaurant on Toledo Blade Blvd just off Rt 776 in Port Charlotte yesterday evening that did honor to Buffalo's haddock fish fries that we've missed so much down here in Florida. It was fried to perfection, sweet and flaky. And the malt vinegar was great on the tasty fries. Definitely going back. The best part was this place is within a 5 minute ride from our new currently under construction house in the Cove @ Westport."
"This place is small and informal, but the food I had was awesome! I had the hot lobster roll and BF had the cold one. Hand cut fries were delicious and not greasy. Clam chowder was wonderful, as was the slaw. The servers were awesome! We were just visiting and asked about things to do and go. Very helpful!! Highly recommend this place, although it’s a little hard to find, but well worth the trip."
"Small place in a strip mall, about 10 tables. Food takes a minute as it's made fresh. Super Sampler delicious scallops, fish, and shrimp. Most all is fried so not a health food joint. Great NE clam chowder. Not a fan of the clam fritters- just a lot of bread and not a lot of flavor. Take or leave the fries, but the fish was amazing!"
"I come here every time I visit my dad in Florida!! He comes in for takeout every Saturday and when I visit we always dine in. The food is always spot on and the best seafood in the area!! We love the live music from Chuckie who performs every Saturday. Friendly service who knows my dad by name and incredible food every time!!!"
"We saw the sign while returning from the beach and had to stop. We were so happy we did. My son got, of all things, the Thanksgiving Shepards Pie. It had to weigh 4-5 lbs, and he crushed it. It was so good, he said. My wife tried the meatballs, and they were OK. I had the clam roll and was in New England bliss. Perfectly cooked, plump, and sweet. Excellent. My son and I started with the New England Chowder, which was creamy rich and a clam in almost every bite. My wife tried the Lobster Bisque, and it was so rich and wonderful that I had to steal a few bites. Spamoni cake to go was a nice treat later. We will be back!!"
