"Happened to be in the area so dropped in on a Friday lunch. Couple of gentlemen playing accordion and banjo very nice. Had some basic menu options and it was good. The bottle of wine was larger than life so that went home with us. Fun vibe would come here again. Especially fun if you have visitors and they want to do a river cruise or kayak"

"This place has a lot of character. Definitely an authentic Florida experience. The food was prepared quickly, tasted great and felt completely home cooked (nothing from cans and whatnot). You can enjoy live music here while you eat, as well as take a boat trip after your meal. Fun place to bring visitors."

"Five stars for atmosphere, old Florida atmosphere. Food is ok to good. Husband enjoyed two meat bbq plate of brisket and ribs, which is saying something as Texans! I ordered shrimp po-boy, which was ok, but didn’t care for the remoulade sauce. But very fun environment located by Myakka River. Had a live band day we went, which was a Thursday for lunch. Nice drive back into area where restaurant is located. Definitely visit again if in area. Only negative, didn’t appreciate the gratuity added to check since had to stand in line to order and find own table. Had a very friendly server. Don’t forget to tip the band and tip server separately from when you pay in line."

"Great place with plenty of character off the beaten path. Good food, live music, plenty of outside seating. Pulled pork & chicken tacos, homemade chips, chicken strips, fried okra, sweet potato fries, pork sandwiches were all great. There are several parking areas, so keep driving around if its busy and you'll find a spot. Bring cash for a tip for the band when they pass the hat around. First timers: Don't worry; keep driving and you'll get there."

"Food was prepared very quickly. The shrimp tacos were very crunchy and delicious. They had a little kick to them. The brisket was also good, although the portions were on the smaller side. Fried green tomatoes were crunchy and the sauce was very tasty."
