"While the food is good, the customer service is terrible. I am a huge supporter of Black Owned Businesses, however we as a people must do better. We cannot expect customers to patronize our business, when we fail to treat them with the most basic respect. There is a very negative stigma customers hold regarding black-owned businesses having poor customer service. Although this is definitely not true for many black businesses, it is an area in which we need to pay special attention , especially Pine Street BBQ! No matter how good your family recipes are, or how tasty you BBQ sauce is, when you can't answer basic questions without an attitude, you can't say you are a successful business! Now you know. . .when you know better...do better!"

"Good food terrible customer service. Been coming here every couple months and the lady that runs the place has a negative attitude. I was told it was a 20 minutes wait. But when I returned 20 minutes later she said she didn't know how much longer and told me I could leave if I wanted to. I really hate when me as a black person supports a black business but is treated like trash."

"Absolutely amazing. We followed our noses and the sight of a long line of people waiting (in the rain!!) and we were NOT disappointed. Super friendly staff, and absolutely astounding food. We had the rib sandwich and the meat practically fell off the bone. The sauce was a delicious mustard based yellow sauce. I’m from the west coast, so my opinion might not matter much, but even my born and bred southern partner and mother in law said it was the best barbecue they’ve ever eaten. Don’t judge it from the outside - just GO!"

"Beans are striaght from the can mixed with apple sauce....out of cold slaw and potato salad (idk how this place is only open for 3 days and can be out of cold slaw a staple of southern bqq) hours are very weird. Chicken was a little on the dry side."
