"Yes, you can find some great things in here but the staff is so unfriendly and sometimes downright rude, that it makes you NOT want to shop here."
"Shopped here for some furniture and found two great pieces with half off stickers, making my total $60. When I went to the register to pay, I was charged full price. I immediately realized and asked them to refund the $120. He said he did and then charged me the correct amount of $60. I looked at my credit card charges later and found I was charged $120 twice and then the correct price of $60. So when they “refunded” it I got charged again. I went in a couple days later and asked them to fix it and they said they couldn’t do anything. I’d have to dispute it on my credit card. It’s now been a month of fighting with our credit card company to get our $240 back."
"I’m not sure why people are saying that the items here are overpriced because I got a couch for $30 and an ottoman for $7 That were in incredible shape. There are some things that are a little pricey, but they are antiques and if you tried to buy them at antique shop, they would probably be 10 times what they’re charging here. As far as thrift stores go, this is the best one that I’ve been to if you’re looking for furniture."
"Updated review from 7 years ago - not much has changed. They continuously leave another stores price tag on an item and mark their price higher, even from goodwill! I attached photos because I was so shocked after seeing this three separate times here. Selection is ok, nothing to resell at those prices anyway. They do sell new mattresses cheap. Cashiers are always rude and every single time I happen to stop in this location, the volunteers are complaining how overwhelmed they are with us pesky customers. It’s amazing how every other thrift store and charity around here has at minimum friendly and competent volunteers, but SVDP Kennesaw misses it completely."
"Went in today to donate & shop (despite knowing the prices are way overpriced). I didn’t see any signs about where to donate or times to donate so I asked an employee “Hi, is there a place I can donate or is that only during a certain time?” She said “Donating ends at 2. You missed the deadline”— Very rudely. I had with me a small bag of designer shoes to donate & asked “Is it okay if I leave these here while I shop?” She immediately cuts me off before I can even finish and says “No.” again very rudely. Then realized what I was going to say & says “Oh, to shop?” I was immediately turned off and knew I’d never spend a dime in there or donate again. I said “Never mind. That was pretty rude”, and left. A small thing in the grand scheme of my day, but a rude experience nonetheless from a Christian organization. With the high prices, people are shopping & donating out of the goodness of their heart— perhaps instruct your employees/volunteers to react with that in mind."
