First Communities 1200 Lake Hearn Drive Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30319

"I live in a First Communities apartment complex located in Charlotte, NC. I was informed by management that they are simply contracted to manage these buildings and that they are not directly affiliated with First Communities. The team that they have contracted to work here have been very nice and so far have made their best attempts to help me with my situation. However, due to a seemingly greedy parent company, they have not been able to provide me with a true long term solution for my problem. Management has shared with me that other residents in my community have also been complaining of the same issues as me and that they also were not able to get the proper maintenance that they deserved for their unit. Why? "Because the company refuses to spend any more money on these apartments." "It's too expensive." From my understanding, these buildings were constructed around 2021. For a building so new I have never seen such poor quality. The tile work in the bathrooms is shoddy and uneven resulting in poor alignment of the shower doors and leaking, the bathtub is not level therefore it dips in the middle, there are still pencil marks around the bathtub faucet from when it was being installed, and there is either low quality insulation or not enough of it because we can hear all of our neighbors constantly. It seems that First Communities obtained ownership of these buildings after construction was completed. If a proper inspection was done, they should have seen the issues with the buildings and been prepared to pay for lots of repairs or simply not purchased at all. We pay way too much money for these apartments to be having this many issues with no help whatsoever."

"I am a resident at the Reserve of Peachtree Corners and the management team is horrible, maintenance takes your work orders out of the system as being done and when you call the office about it the leasing manager has the nerve to get an attitude with you. If he didn’t want to be the manager he should not have applied for the position. I have been in need of a stove for months as well as someone to fix my window because when it rains it comes through my windows which has caused mold in my unit that keeps us sick as I have asthma as well as my children and they just don’t seem to care no matter how much I tell them about it. I’m definitely feed up and can’t wait for my lease to be up."

"I am employed with First Communities, I have been here for about 6months. This company has been great to to me, they care about me and I feel like my input has always been taken into consideration. I feel like I can grow here. They have given me all the tools I need to succeed. I feel appreciated which is very important to me. I love this company. I hope to keep learning and growing within the company!"

"First Communities has taken over the 1185 Collier complex in Atlanta. Since they acquired the property there has been a serious decline in property upkeep and management. The parking gates and entry doors have been inoperable for over a month allowing anyone to access the parking lot and all units. The entry doors are propped open with bricks. The elevator is also out of order. The people in the office are rude and unprofessional, especially Claudia. This complex is unsafe and definitely not a luxury property."

"The worst company ever. There is the most danger hole in the road in the complex and no one has come to fix the issue. This has been here for close to 6 months. Why has this issue not been a priority. I have call the office and corporate number several times with no answer nor care. Someone should reach out to me because the number is useless. It is right by my home and several cars have been hit turning into the street. The rest of the road has several pots surrounding this huge hole. I need an immediate respond. A firetruck got stuck it’s freaking ridiculous."
