"I was out shopping yesterday and got a call from our leasing office saying that the apartment above ours pipes burst and we needed to get home immediately. I was thinking it was going to be a little water and not much damage but I still needed to get home because our dog was at home in her crate. We get home and our apartment was completely flooded, water rushing from the ceilings, the sprinklers spraying water everywhere because of the smoke coming from the TV’s and electrical outlets. The kids rush in trying to gather all their Christmas gifts and valuables items, they’re in complete disbelief, crying asking us what to do next. Our dog literally was floating away in her crate and shaking because she was terrified and confused. Our leasing office never once came and checked on us, I had to track down the maintenance man and ask could he at least cut the sprinklers off. Once we could see all the damage it started to sink in that we may have lost everything.We contacted our leasing office and asked them about hotel accommodations and they said your insurance “handles” that but we have them on our ring camera saying the apartment above us is vacant and so they’re responsible for turning on the heat and running the water so the pipes won’t freeze and burst *update as of 01/05/23 Echo at North Point Center and their property management company Folgeman still has yet to get the water out of our apartment and we’ve been displaced in a hotel since the incident. They’ve threatened to terminate our lease immediately if we don’t agree to their terms and will only accommodate us if we agree to pay an extra $745 a month in rent for 3 bedroom apartment . Our things now have active mold on them. Old water was found inside our drawers, damaging our important documents, keepsakes & personal items Again, there hasn’t been any accountability taken by Echo north point center or Folegman. At this point we feel this is a discrimination issue because we are African American women. I’ve added new pictures for context."

I love the intimacy of the community and the fact that although it is small, they did not cheat the residents of well thought out amenities. I'll be honest, I'm the type of shopper who reads reviews and uses them to make an overall decision, and they did not lie! I worked with Mark in securing my home. He was attentive and simply kind. The community was 100% occupied when I toured and Tommi made sure to reach out as soon as one became available. That's going above and beyond! If you are teetering between two communities, make Echo at North Point Center your home today, and be my newest neighbor!
