"We had a family reunion and the staff went above and beyond taking care of us. We had to make a last minute adjustment and Linda, Emma, and Holly took an extra step in providing plates and space for our family in the lobby. They were wonderful. Thank you. Special shout out to the staff."
"Clean and comfortable rooms but nothing extraordinary. Can't speak much to the service as we didn't really need anything but check-in was easy and as you'd expect. Parking is expensive for where and what this is. Park up the road at the garage and walk the block and a half for free. It's convenient to several restaurants and bars so it's a good base for a date night."
"The price goes up and up, as usual with high end places…parking 42 a day. The rooms are nice and everything is obviously pretty and clean-it is in walking distance to many places to eat. Our beef was at breakfast. Waited and waited and waited some more on a Sunday with only one person working. After waiting for way too long at a $300 dollar a night hotel—& only getting two waters —we finally left when no one was available to take orders or even coffees. (And the breakfast was something we would have paid for too.) Ah well. Hungry and not happy leaving this stay unfortunately. Should maybe have opted for something less nice with available hot coffee and breakfast? (Even the coffee machine in the room was a huge disappointment). Probably won’t opt for this again. Breakfast matters folks"
"My husband and I chose this hotel again celebrating our anniversary. This was our second time staying and we really love the area. The hotel was very accommodating to allow us an early check in and we were very grateful for that, however we did have a few complaints that we would like to share. Upon entering into our room we noticed that the room was very cold and there was a portable heater on the luggage chair. That was alarming and we did ask about it and was told that there had been issues with the heat in the building. Secondly, the menus were not updated. We ordered food through room service and several items that were on the menu was not available anymore. I wanted fish tacos, which were on the menu, but no longer being served. So I then ordered the dip trio, which included hummus, chicken buffalo dip, and shrimp dip in the menu. However, the shrimp dip was no longer available and had been replaced with palmetto cheese. I didn’t know this until my order had been delivered. We did call the front desk and was told a meeting was scheduled the next day to discuss updating the menu. Lastly, there was a drip under the sink if the water stayed on too long. If anything it was just annoying. My husband and I would love to visit this beautiful hotel in the future because we truly love the area and we don’t share our experience to shame or hurt the business of this hotel, but we hope that this will only bring awareness."
"Great stay at this Hilton location. The room was clean. We brought our toddler and the room was big enough for him to run around in. I’d say if you are not here for the late night fun to stay floors 3-4. There’s music that thumps from the floor beneath the main and it goes just about until 2am. It want too bad, but good to know for next time. We stayed on floor 2. The location is perfect for walking to coffee, brunch, dinner or just for a stroll. Convenient to the Avalon for more restaurant or shopping options. Parking was not an issue. The hotel has valet for their fee. Or if you are not here long during the day ~2-3 hours you can easily street or park in the public parking garage for $0. All in all wonderful stay."
