"If you like ants in your room followed up by useless staff this is the hotel for you! Room appeared clean when I checked in and only had the bedside light on. I didn't sleep well and kept waking up feeling like something was on me(not knowing it was ants) When I couldn't take it any more and got up, turned on the desk light I was greated by hundreds of ants! Ants on the bed, ants on the wall and the desk. Nothing on the desk but ants and a pen. I complained to the front desk while checking out and they said "sorry, I cant fix that now you should have told us last night"(if I had seen them I would have.) That was the end of it no further conversation. I agree nothing they could do to fix the ants now but typically hotels will refund the cost or give you points for a bad experience (such as ants crawling all over the room) I stay at hotels 60+ nights a year and I have seldom complained let alone expected anything because of a minor issues. 2 years ago I stayed at a Holiday inn and had dead flies by the window. Not an issue for me, they were dead and didnt bother me. I let the front desk know when checking out as a courtesy to the next guess who might care. Front desk staff gave me 10,000 points for the room being "dirty with dead flies" Courtyard had live Ants all over the room! And courtyard offered nothing! Maybe Im expecting to much and hold Marriott to a higher expectation than a cheap Holiday inn (no more). On the plus side the Hotel is in a great location and looks great from the outside. Photo of the ants I killed on the desk. I should have taken more photos but I had a meeting to get to."
"By far one of my best stays this year, I travel for work often and this hotel staff was very friendly, not overly friendly to be disingenuous, But could tell it was genuine. The room was nice and clean parking in Atlanta can be annoying but found it very easy, great location too will be coming back ! The young lady April who checked me in was a very kind and made my stay enjoyable."
"Would like to give a special review for Mrs. Astrin Blue..I travel year round for the Government, and stay in a Marriot or Hilton 4-5 days per week conducting training seminars..we always have food catered by the venue if available, and Mrs. Blue made sure everything went as planned, even giving my guests the choice of meals during lunch..It may not sound like much, but I probably get asked 3-4 times per year, out of over 200! 5 stars for this location for the extra attention by this wonderful lady! My guests appreciated the extra thought, and because of her, my day was a breeze! Pay close attention to your Great employees Marriot...professional travelers notice!"
"First time visiting Vinings GA and I must say Dominic the Young Man that checked us in was very pleasant and kind, He knew the area very well and was very knowledgeable about different areas outside of GA. The room was very clean and cozy, the hotel staff did such a great job keeping the room updated and clean. Thank you for an amazing stay, We really enjoyed ourselves. Dominic was Awesome!"
"This place is really very nice but the employees are not friendly and do not provide the great service that other hotels provide. I had a reservation and I was using the key on the Marriott app but once again in the span of several years it didn't work again. I approached the desk and waited 10 minutes in a long line to check in. There was no eye contact, apology for the wait from the tall black gentleman and no help for me and others in line for quite a bit from any other employee. When I told him I was checking in and tried to explain my issue with the app room key, he interrupted and grabbed my room keys that were already made on his desk. Apparently, they knew the room key on the app wasn't working again. He never acknowledged me being a member of Marriott or apologized for the wait or even smiled. The next morning there was no basic coffee for the guests unless you wanted to buy it from the restaurant. This is a basic at other hotels I stay at as a member. The hotel was beautiful and the room was clean and nicely set up and modern but it takes more than this at the hotels I stay at. They need to retrain or replace this team of employees and fix their app that has never worked. Very disappointed and not my first choice for hotel stays, Marriott in general. I really want to like the Marriott brand but they make it difficult each rare visit with them."
