"Booked an appointment through there online booking, when I showed to my appointment they only had one stylist working who said unfortunately they cannot do my hair because she’s booked and that the owner (who was out of town) forgot to turn off the online booking service. Worse salon I’ve ever walked into, thank God I was able to get in with another salon same day or I would’ve had to cancel my plans for that night since my hair was a mess!"

"My 14 year went in for spring twists, but as I was on the way back from the bank with cash, she texted me, and I knew something was wrong. She had taken her time to pick the style and I knew that she really wanted the spring twists, it turned out that her hair was too soft for the twists to stay in place. Being extremely accommodating, Shaye offered to do knotkess twists, and my daughter said she was fine with it, and was walking out of the shop to go get the hair for the knotless twists as I was coming into the shop. While Shaye was off getting the new hair, I asked my daughter to show me the pictures of the new style. As soon as I saw it, I knew she wouldn't be happy with it, because it's was similar to knotless box braids and I knew my daughter didn't want that. So I had her call Shaye and tell her not to buy the new hair. When Shaye got back, I asked her if she could just straighten my daughter's hair. Well she did more than we could ever hope for! Shaye washed and conditioned my daughter's hair. I think she may have even deep conditioned, because she had my daughter sit under a dryer with a cap on. Shaye then silk pressed and curled my daughter's hair. Her hair was absolutely beautiful. My daughter is biracial and due to some horrible experiences in the past with African braiders, I have become very picky about who I let touch my child's hair, and I must confess, I considered leaving the Style Spot without letting Shaye do anything to my child's hair because I was feeling negative energy possibly due to the back and forth about the two types of twists and the time constraint I was under to get a style done in time for an event we had later in Rome, but I am so glad we stayed. I have found THE place I can take my child to when she wants a special style for a special occasion. Shaye did a wonderful job and charged a fair price for a style and treatment that was more than I can ask for. She will be the only person I will let touch my child's hair besides myself!"

"I made an appointment after explaining I had an event to attend and really needed to schedule by a certain day. The owner agreed but then called me a few days later after scheduling said she had to cancel my appointment. I appreciate her efforts but I decided not to reschedule for fear that this would happen again. I understand things come up but she didn't offer another time or day that met my timeframe. No flexibility or reliability. These reviews provide as opportunities to improve not to judge."

"I was tired of wearing my natural hair and I requested a sensitive relaxer when I scheduled my appointment. The owner exceeded my expectations. She did a thorough job-gave me exactly what I requested and I did not wait long at all. My hair was absolutely gorgeous! When my husband arrived home from work he said: “You look beautiful!!” My daughter also went to the salon to get a sew-in and her hair was flawless! I will definitely continue as a client. Karla B."

"I set my appointment a week prior on the salon website and also spoke on the phone with the owner the day I scheduled my appointment……..upon my arrival at the salon, the owner of the salon “who was supposed to be doing my hair” was only halfway through the process of installing another clients sew in! (sew in installation take at least 2 hours) and she asked me to have a seat and wait. I asked her what the point of making an appointment was if I had to wait between 45 minutes to an hour to get in the chair!?!???? She was rude, unprofessional and said she don’t operate like that and completely disregarded my appointment time. Needless to say I wasted my time and gas drove 45 minutes away for a absolutely nothing. If you are a person who is always on time and stick to a schedule then this salon is not for you! I do not recommend this establishment."
