"I had a wonderful experience enrolling my son in the infant class! He was enrolled for a few months while we waited on a waiting list for a daycare closer to us and we already miss the Sunshine House so much. While my son was there he had a few different teachers in his class but his main teachers Ms. Madi and Ms. Cindy were absolute angels. All of the teachers were! I never had any worries or complaints and all of the teachers followed our family plan as asked. I always received timely updates on diapering, sleeping, and feeding as well as a lot of photos and videos. Also, Heather, the asst director (I think that was her role) was also incredible! She was always such a warm welcome every morning and always made my boy smile! She always informed me if anything going on in the class or with my child (sickness) and also took the time to get to know my boy individually. Needless to say, we love the Sunshine House and would certainly recommend it."
"The worst school i could have put my son. Terrible food, service from the board and rude coordination. My son got a virus, he had low immunity because he wasn't eating right and not hydrating himself. They only think about the money you pay and don't think about the child's health. I would never recommend this school to any child."
"I would give this place negative stars if I could. My child was there 1 week and I had already had to make a call to Corporate. My child was a well, healthy child, in a well and healthy classroom who was taken out of the appropriate classroom and placed in the infant classroom with SICK CHILDREN without my consent. Some of the staff were rude, and ugly. When my child was put in the sick room with sick kids (who never should have been allowed to be there in the first place), the teacher never cut up the food, never fed it to my child and let my child go hungry. Then, when it was nap time, put my child in a crib (which was fine) but never gave my child their comfort items or even a blanket that was in my child's bag. So they made my child go to sleep cold and hungry and this was on DAY 1. After I asked WHY my child was moved to be with SICK KIDS, I was told 3 different stories. Now which one am I supposed to believe?? So since they put my child in with the SICK KIDS, my well healthy child got really sick and we ended up at CHOA. But Sunshine House says it's not their fault my kid is sick. What's really sad is, while we were at CHOA, SEVERAL families came in and they were there for THE. SAME. EXACT. THING. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! When I talked to Corporate MULTIPLE times, I was told- oh well. Do you really want your child going here and getting treated like this??"
"I could be missing the mark but I’ll let those that are reading the review come to their own conclusion. I called Tuesday afternoon, I’m looking for a daycare with a more educational background since I just moved to Woodstock, to be closer to my job. I spoke to Wendy and she told me that they had plenty of spots available for school ages in their summer camp but none for my three year old. That she was expecting an empty classroom in August because all the four year olds would move but during the summer they are not old enough to go on the field trips that they frequently go on. I was completely aware and planned on keeping my three year old where he is now til then so I inquire if I can be added to a wait list. I’m told no need, plenty of spots will be available.I scheduled a tour for today at 10. I (a black women) get there on time but now there are no spots, the empty classroom in August are now gone. This was within the two and a half days that I spoke with her. This is so hard to believe but I’m told to check back in. No you’ve already wasted my time."
"My experience of working with the Admins at this Center have been very good. I have 2 children in the Pre-K Program and love all the Teachers there. They are engaged and really care about my child's education and well-being. If there is ever an incident, they do not hesitate to call me directly asap. The Center is clean and well organized. I enrolled my kids in this Center because of a friend's recommendation and I would totally recommend them myself to anyone else. The Admins/Teachers are very friendly and really seem to enjoy their jobs."
