"nicest most organized goodwill i’ve seen. great selection"
"This location is infuriating and money-hungry. Management substantially charges more than the original prices of donated items. The coloring book clearly states it was only $1.00 when originally purchased. This location marked it up to $2.09. Today, I saw A TON of children's paperback books priced substantially higher than the sign advertised. Also saw a lot of children's paperback books priced as adult hardbacks. The only items I ever purchase (if correctly priced) are children's paperback books. There is a sign advertising children's paperback books at $0.77 a book. Other items were priced as something completely different. I found a book I wanted but it was labeled as a vase/figurine at a higher price. A cute kid's toy I was interested in was marked at $2.09. The original tag from Kmart was still on the toy selling it for $1.50. Employees at this location are pricing items however they want. Prices in the stores are decided by the store manager! He/she does not have to up-charge the items! As a former employee of Goodwill (North Georgia and Southern Rivers of GA) for years, they do not have to charge the prices they do. I have had enough experience behind the scenes with GW to know better. Plus, the CEOs make a large amount of money. I've met the CEO(s) And do you know what happens when these overpriced items do not sell? Management has their employees throw all those items away. The only items that do not get trashed are the clothes. Prices/sales/round-up/career centers "supposedly" to help the less fortunate. Not all GW locations have career centers. I can attest that GW does not help people who truly need it. I've seen it firsthand. I do not understand why the Goodwill Corporate office in Lawrenceville, Georgia does not hold mandatory conferences with all North Georgia management teams periodically to discuss set prices on donated items at their locations. Then go back to the store and properly train their employees on pricing and customer service skills. Corporations should pay their employees what their worth. Then perhaps the employees wouldn't be so miserable and the turnover rate wouldn't be as high as it is. It would save so much time on the corporation's part and make it easier for the store employees and customers to know what all items would cost across the board. Corporate should take my suggestion seriously and take it to heart. I am fully expecting the generic response stating, "It's for our job career center, helping others, please call guest services, etc." This response isn't true. Sure, some of the money does go to the career center, but a majority of the profits do not. Management, do yourself a favor and save your generic response because it is useless."
"The prices are RIDICULOUSLY HIGH at this location. People shop at Goodwill usually to try and save money and the fact that it’s all DONATED STUFF to begin with, it’s taking advantage of others to charge so much. I saw a ripped up tiny Coach purse for $29. I wouldn’t of even paid $29 for that outdated purse brand new. I made a mistake and the only reason why I paid $17.99 for a VERY OLD craftsman sander was because I thought it was a belt sander but when I got home and found out it wasn’t, it was upsetting. $17.99 was way too much in the first place, I was just wanted a belt sander that bad.(Sander DOES NOT look like the pic. On box!) It’s very disappointing to see a company act so greedy. I think I will be shopping at other thrift stores because I was hoping the location was come back to normal prices but they are clearly getting more and more greedy and the worst part is, now they are getting greedy over stuff that’s falling apart."
"A pretty decent Goodwill considering most thrift stores are dirty and have that particular smell that only a thrift store could have. They have a very good selection of cloths/shoes as well as electronics and kitchen goods. They are a little lite on the furniture side compared to other Goodwill stores in the area. I enjoy the employees here. They're always friendly and seem to be happy they have a job."
