"The food was awful!!! Everything seems to be out of a can. No seasoning at all. I do understand you have to cater to everyone. The ribs were tough, yams straight out of a can, banana pudding was terrible and store bought. The food use to be delicious. I can't even honestly answer the question of food to recommend. I purchased 7 items (Ribs, black eyed peas, macaroni & cheese, yams, banana pudding, red velvet cake and tea) and don't recommend any of them."
"Normally, I tend to stay away from chain restaurants when it comes to my expectations of good southern food, but this chain may be the one that I start making exceptions for. My meal was both tasty and delicious. The staff was top-notch and the prices were reasonable. Only wish they would have had more dessert options available during my visit other than cake, but overall would definitely try again"
"I really don't have a clue what happened on 11/18/23 around 5pm. Normally this is the best location but yesterday's service was slow and he security person kept cutting the line. This caused a trip that should not have been over 15 minutes to take about 40 minutes. The banana pudding was dry due to not having the pudding added. Ribs were tough, and overall experience was not up to their normal standard. It was clear something or someone was missing and for the price it needs to be better. On a positive note the servers tried their best but you can't fix badly prepared food. Also the vegetables were good. I won't say this will be my last time but I will say they may want to have better supervision on Saturdays."
"Veggie plate $12.95 reasonable pricing, nice serving amounts, however, the green beans were over cooked and mushy, the collard greens were undercooked and tasted a little sweet. The macaroni and cheese looked like it was going to taste bad - it was the best part of my meal. The corn bread muffin was good as well. The staff greeted me and were helpful during my visit."
"Highest soul food you will ever buy! Brought 2plates one oxtail plate was 36 dollars and a chicken chop dinner 20 dollars total 62 dollars for two small normal plates that usually cost 12 to 15 a piece! My feelings was hurt paying 36 dollars for one plate! I won't go back! So if you go there you better have at least a 100 dollars bill. Ain't no meat worth 2 dollars on the oxtails and chicken chops are dry and not worth 2 dollars!"
