"5:05pm October 7, 2023. First time at Captain D’s and the worker at the drive thru is very terrible. Dining in was not available so it was hard looking at menu. Had to tell her it was our first time here. Disgusted. Edit: Food was not as good as the reviews. I think it’ll be better if the grease was changed. Hush puppies were so hard and tasted like left overs. A lot of the fried foods had black specks on them from old grease."

"I’ve eaten here many times and had no problems but today was different. I had the grilled fish & shrimp with fried okra and broccoli. It looked great, smelled good & tasted great.However It was weird that the broccoli was in a plastic bag on my plate though. I’ve never seen a side item placed in a bag. Immediately after eating I was explosively sick! Yes the broccoli and all caused some explosive reactions in my body. I saw it all again in different forms to put it nicely. I’m done with fast food! Be careful folks!"

"Loved the fennel sticks... Butterfly shrimp was amazing..baked potato was great too..but little bit of topping would have been good as standard...fish was loved...didn't like okra fry..but overall very impressed with taste..."

"Our return visit was much better than our first. Though due to some overheard issues from other customers, we can't say it has reached a 5 star level. However, under cooked corn and another food issue were quickly corrected without complaint."
