"This is my last time coming here. The staff behind the counter is friendly, good music and the coffee is good and that's about it. I've tried giving this place a chance and chance again only to upset me. I've come maybe twice a year to see if things were going to be different and it hasn't! When this place first opened it was an older guy cooking and the food was good. Now the food is terrible. I've sent back food several times and ordered something else that was even worse and overcooked. They need experienced cooks and waiters. This place is unable to keep up the pace or consistency. There's no reason why you keep forgetting things I've ordered and it may only be 2/3 people in there. This place is going downhill over time. You guys don't have fast food prices for the type of food I've received. The prices you have for the food need to be better quality. On that note please be careful with the fish before someone gets sick. You can't have a container of thawed-out fish and think it's okay to cook."
"I got the veggie burrito and a side of fries, and my date got the breakfast platter. And for dessert, we shared a slice of cake (I forget the name but the picture is here!) Veggie Burrito: WAY too much cheese. I couldn’t even taste any of the veggies because of all the cheese. Also, I personally think it would take better with some kind of banana pepper/olive added to it. Something to give it a little bit Fries: nicely cooked, perfectly crunchy, could use some more seasoning/salt Cake: Very sweet but also very delicious :) it was moist and quite delightful Other: The atmosphere felt like a mom-and-pop type vibe. And our waitress was amazing - very sweet, attentive and helpful when it came to ordering and making recommendations from the menu."
"Such a great gathering place and everyone's food looked delicious!!! They have a plethora of homemade baked goods that all look fabulous. The service was quick and super friendly. The atmosphere of the place was very warm, inviting, friendly, and fun. I will have to come back and try some new items from their menu!!"
"The server was uninterested in being bothered. Feels like a family restaurant, which is great but the sad part to me is that the energy in this smaller establishment is so low!! It’s okay to smile, and allow for a welcoming environment. The food is honestly just okay. We came for an experience but there just isn’t anything to brag or get excited about. I’m kind of angry because I wanted to boast about the restaurant and tell everyone to go. I still say go, perhaps you’ll have a better experience. My final thought is about the Southern Salmon Croquettes! This is NOT, I repeat NOT a croquette. This is an overcooked, large and hard hushpuppy with uncooked filling made of salmon, onions and spices. This recipe needs an overhaul and revision. They’re dry, no complementing sauce of any kind…it’s just a NO. I purposely tipped 20% and I’ll never be back. The energy is off, the food is non-delectable and that is all."
"We visited on Father's Day, so I applied forgiveness to my review. The server was a bit inexperienced and very hard to hear. She wasn't able to answer our inquiries clearly. The menu was very confusing because of unorganization. The bleach towel used to clean the table was sour and left a horrid smell. If you're still reading this. You must be telling yourself why this is a five star review. The food was terrific and changed the mood of the table. I tried each item at the table. Shrimp was seasoned and tender, and grits were perfect with a matching flavor. The meatloaf was divine. The Alfredo sauce was house made with quality ingredients. I believe these folks are putting their heart into this place. They want the best experience for their customers. Give them a try!"
